Ford F350 NoMan Tow Truck 400 cu. in. V8 Petrol/LPG Fully Equipped & Operational

This head turning Breakdown Wrecker Truck was purchased as a running project. mainly because I needed a recovery vehicle and also one that could be finished into a real Show Truck.

I believe it is the only one of it's type in the UK so a real show attraction.

It was fitted from new with the E. R. Buske from Pocahontas. Iowa 'NoMan Towing System' which means in effect you can move just about anything within its capabilities.

It has a power takeoff Winch which can be adjusted and is fully operational. Great for pulling things out of fields or ditches etc.

It has a fully operational Electric Hydraulic Spec Lift. well capable of lifting fully loaded LWB Transits and the like.

If you use the Twin Wheeled Dollies on the back you can execute a complete lift in conjunction with the Spec Lift – Great for untaxed. non MOT'd vehicles that need recovering.

The large black bar stored on the front can be used in conjunction with the spec lift to recover large Motorcycles. such as Harley Davidson's.

It is complete with LED Marker Lights. Working Lights. Wide Bar Hazard Lamps. Compressed Air Horns. Police Siren. Stainless Exhaust Stack. Storage Lockers Etc. . Etc.

Because it runs on either Petrol or LPG it makes it quite economical – LPG being around . 55p per litre.

The problem I have is that it takes up space. which we never have enough of. nbsp; and I've never had the time to finish it. Although at the present time I have got round to overhauling the Holley Carburettor.

It needs a carpet fitted. door locks sorting and a few other cosmetics to make it into a real mind blowing Show Truck and perhaps the new owner would go even further.

But it is a running fully operational Breakdown Wrecker Truck. and on the odd occasion I have actually used it for recovery. it doesn't need an MOT or Road Tax.   I believe though if it was used solely as a Show Truck it would need to be MOT'd and Taxed.

I had the her History checked out in the States by Marti Auto Works of Arizona. because I could never understand why it's on a ‘Q' Plate. and they supplied me with a certificate (which I will pass to the new owner) giving all the dates and information from the time it was manufactured.

Namely. it was built in the Ford Motor Company works at Twin Cities as a F-350 Regular Truck on the 19th October 1979 with the Serial Number F37ZPGG7232  - 7 days behind production scheduled date.

My original intention of getting the History and Certificate was to try and get the DVLA to reissue an aged related plate for her. but like everything else. I haven't had the time and never got round to it.

She drives great and is open to any inspection just give me a call to arrange a convenient time and date.

I may consider taking a Part Exchange of another project vehicle. or anything else for that matter – What have you?
