1948 Chevrolet Pickup – Immaculate Show Car. Short Bed 3100. 350ci. 700R. Mustang II. 4 Link. Coilovers. QLD Mod Plates.

- Up for sale I have a beautifully built 1948 Chevrolet Pickup. this is an absolutely immaculate cruiser with all brand new parts throughout with huge money spent.

- The pickup has a rebuilt later model 350ci V8 and 700R 4 speed auto trans. The engine is all polished with an Edelbrock inlet manifold. 4-barrel Edelbrock carb. ceramic headers. MSD leads. HEI distributor. polished valve covers. bullet pulley's. chrome alternator. billet overflow bottle. all braided lines etc. It has a brand new full twin exhaust system with crossover. with stainless Magna Flow mufflers. It also has a brand new retro style aluminum radiator with new thermo fans. The engine and trans has been rebuilt and runs and shifts fantastic.

- The pickup still has its factory chassis. which has been upgraded with a Mustang II IFS front end with lowered coil springs and power drilled and slotted disc brakes with a new under floor master cylinder and booster. It also has power rack and pinion steering with a brand new Ididit tilt column. In the rear the original diff has been swapped for a later model Chev 10 bolt with new drum brakes and a full 4-link setup with adjustable coilovers. it also has a brand new drive shaft. Depending on the look your going for the current springs could be swapped out and the truck could be lowered very easily.

- The body is all steel including all fenders and steps. the bodywork and paint on the truck is absolutely incredible and almost flawless. The truck has a cool factory style two-tone colour scheme with gloss black and a very nice metallic deep red. As you will see in the pictures the bodywork is fantastic and the paint has been blocked and sanded to a flat glassy mirror finish. In addition to the pickups beautiful exterior. the bed. engine bay and interior panels of the truck have all been body worked. painted and finished just as well as the exterior. The firewall has been shaved with all unnecessary holes filled and all hidden wiring. The truck also has new front and rear bumper infill panels that suit the style and look great. The underside of the truck is extremely clean and has been sprayed with the same rust proofing body detener as the interior of the cab floor. There is absolutely no rust whatsoever. this pickup came from southern California and as a result the sheet metal is clean and solid with great floors. doors. cab corners etc.

- The bed of the pickup has been replaced with a beautiful glassy gloss marine grade timber with brand new polished bed stripes. Under the bed is a large fuel tank. with a new sender and electric Holley fuel pump.

- The pickup has all brand new glass and weather stripes throughout. In addition to the new glass the side windows have new chrome glass surrounds. new window felts. new window and door relays. The doors also have brand new hinges. new locks and brand new handles.

- The original dash has been smoothed and painted beautifully. the original gauges have been replaced with all brand new aftermarket gauges which work great. It has a brand new Lokar shifter. new Lokar hand brake and Lokar throttle pedal and cables. The original vacuum wipers have been replaced with a brand new electric setup with brand new linkage system and new wiper arms and blades. It also has a brand new Custom Auto Sound retro style head unit with iPod connectivity. New headlight switch. new ignition switch. new dip switch new dash trim. new glove box. new glove box hinges. new glove box lock. new everything.

- All wiring from front to back has been replaced and converted to 12 volt. All interior and exterior lights are brand new and work perfectly.

- The original seat has been custom retrimed in black leather and looks amazing. the truck still needs the headliner. door panels and carpet trimmed to be fully complete.

- It has a nice set of brand new 15” artillery wheels. with matching new trim rings. new era correct center caps. and brand new American Classic wide whitewall tyres.

- All chrome work. molding. trim. grill. bumpers. badges. etc throughout are all brand new and in perfect condition. It also has all stainless steel bolts and fixings throughout.

- The truck has been certified with QLD mod plates for the front suspension. steering. brakes. diff. 4 link. fuel tank. new gauges. engine change. trans change etc.  

- This is an incredible custom truck with a great old-school style combined with modern additions to improve safety and drivability. It's hard to convey the amount of time. effort and money that have been put into this truck. The chassis work and driveline makes the pickup drive and handle beautifully. The truck would be an awesome cruiser or could easily hold its own at any hot rod or custom car show. The truck runs and drives and everything on the truck is complete and working as it should. at this stage the interior trim is the only thing that needs to be finished.
