This is another example of the lovely Bertone bodied coupes from Alfa Romeo. this is a 1976 Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior. Once again delivered new to South Africa and now fully UK registered and restored to a great standard. Our car is finished in the classic Alfa White with a Black interior! it is absolutely stunning in every respect. The car has been restored to a fast-road spec but comes with bumpers and can be put back to factory spec easily. The engine has been upgraded to the 2000cc unit. as is often the case. and is ready for its next owner. A brief synopsis of the work carried out is as follows:

1. New paint in Nov 2015
2. Gearbox overhaul 2015
3. Tappets all set and shims replaced as necessary.
4. Propshaft balanced with new centre bearing.
5. Brakes redone including new pads and master and slave cylinders.
6. Suspension totally redone and this car is the quietest I've ever driven.
7. The old Alfa diff was removed to fit a Delport Low RPM light weight unit. This lowers the final drive ratio significantly without affecting acceleration as the vehicle is very light. The car can be toured far easier now as Motorway cruise RPM is about 500 RPM less than standard. This mod has transformed an annoying high rev experience into a most pleasant yet exciting drive and diff internals can easily be accessed unlike with the sealed Alfa 10/41 Diff.

The first of Alfa Romeo's much-loved. Bertone-styled Coupes – the 1. 6-liter Giulia Sprint GT – was launched in 1963. Mechanically. the stylish new 2+2 was much the same as the Giulia TI Sports Saloon. featuring a five-speed manual gearbox. independent front suspension. coil-spring live rear axle and disc brakes all around. A 1300 model. the GT Junior. arrived in 1966. and the range was further extended the following year by the launch of the 1750 GTV. which was powered by a 1. 99cc. 118bhp version of Alfa's classic twin-cam four housed in a four-headlamp version of the existing bodyshell and running on 14" (down from 15") wheels. Driver's cars par excellence in true Alfa Romeo tradition. Bertone's timelessly elegant Giulia-based coupes are among the most exciting sports models of the '60s and '70s and today all versions are highly sought after.

This is a genuine Right Hand example of a very rare Alfa Romeo Coupe. nicely restored but with great mods. perfect for daily use and at a price to sell quickly.
