1970 Dodge Charger 500 for sale
Current customer rating: (476 votes ) based onThis 1970 Dodge Charger 500 Supercharged 440ci with a 6/71 blower sounds as mean as it looks. Lots of engineering went into this build to get this monster blower to work with the A/C & Power Steering. This car is what I consider driver a car. A car where you can take it out on weekends and play with it. This charger runs fantastic "very snappy" and runs cool at around 205*F on hot summer day. nbsp; leave it parked at idle with no worries of overheating even with the A/C going. Interior is in great condition. The seats are in excellent shape. the headliner is nice and tight "missing rear headliner window trim". dash is beautiful and was sent in and professionally restored is 2014. The door panels are ok and would be the only thing I would consider replacing. The chrome through out is so so and could use some re-chrome. The paint on this car is ok. Its a good car to go have fun in and not worry about. If your wanting to make it a real show winner a guy can do all this. I've done the hard part (correctly) of putting this supercharger in and making all the components function properly. The battery was moved to the trunk to really give the engine bay a good clean look. We ran all new MSD ignition with boost retard for detonation. The original hood was custom fabricated a molded around blower pulley. We thought the hidden pulley gave a much cleaner look than huge monster hole in the hood. Hood still hinges out. The radiator was moved forward about 6 inches and new core support and hood latch was fabricated. We also add an huge electric fan with auto/manual switch which is nice for parade cruise when its hot and slow you can just leave fan on continuous. Which also did a disc brake conversion cause if you go fast you also need to stop. Like I said this is a driver car cruise it around town go slow or go fast it'll do both.
