1991 ROVER MINI COOPER GREEN/WHITE

CLASSIC 1991 MINI COOPER

FULLY RESTORED

PART EXCHANGE CONSIDERED

This is a Mini Cooper with a Tudor Webasto Sunroof. and has been fully restored by NVR (Nottingham Vehicle Restorations Ltd) and has only had one former family owner.  Original Bill of Sale can be seen.

This mini has been completely restored to its original condition. with a few additional extras. using a variety of genuine heritage mini panels and parts.

Before any work could commence. the engine. doors. bonnet. bumpers. spats. wheels and sub-frames were removed just leaving the bare shell.

Exterior

The shell was then stripped down to bare metal. all rust spots removed and new panels welded on.  The rear sub-frame was removed and a new one fitted. this was then sand blasted together with the front sub-frame and then powder coated.  

Various new parts were fitted prior to repainting:-

 2 New front wings

 New front panel

 2 A panels

 Outer sills

 1 Door skins

 1 Rear valance

 2 Front section inner wings

 1 Scuttle panel

 New bonnet

 New boot lid 

 New windscreen with green top tint

 New Mini Cooper badges. decors and coach lines.

The shell has been lead filled where necessary. etch primed. primed and finally painted to its original (British Racing Green) colour and finished in a low bake oven.   

All the sub-frames were rebuilt using poly bushes plus engine mountings. new track rod ends. ball joints and front and rear flexi hoses together with new shock absorbers all round.  

The wheels were shot blasted and powder coated silver and then new tyres fitted.  New chrome valves have been fitted with mini cooper dust caps and genuine mini cooper wheel centres along with a full set of wheel nuts.

Engine

Following the removal of the engine. it was stripped. cleaned. painted and put back together with a variety of new parts which included:-

 New clutch. slave and master cylinder.

 Gasket and Seals

 New speedo cable.  

 The engine bay has been fitted out with a lot of stainless steel parts as well as a new radiator. water pump. distributor coil. plugs and leads.  
 New wiring loom and complete new exhaust system with manifold.

The engine is stage 1 tuned with the carburettor being overhauled and completely set up by D & B Carburettor Specialists of Nottingham.

Rebuilding the Mini

Once we had carried out all the works necessary for the restoration of this mini it was rebuilt adding the following new parts:-

 New brake pipes and fuel pipes

 Rear brakes and hand brake cables

 Brakes suspension

 New backing plate. cylinders. shoes and drums.

 Window Seals both front and rear

 New front grill

 2 New Spot Lights with Mini Cooper covers

 New window regulator guides were fitted to the doors prior to re-fitting.

 New 8. 4 discs. pads and callipers.

 New chrome spats were fitted complete with new rubbers around the arch.

 New aerial fitted to the wing.

 2 Repeater lights. 2 flasher lamps. 2 headlight bowls. 2 headlights and 2 headlight rims.

 New cooper badges

 New wiper arms and blades and window washers in stainless.

 New stainless steel wheel arches and gutter trims.  

 New bumpers front and rear.

 New mud-flaps with Mini Cooper emblem

The entire old interior was removed and has been replaced with:- 

 New underlay and moulded red carpet

 New seat belts all round

 New roof lining

 New dashboard and door capping's.  

 All the seats have been custom made with a mini cooper emblem in the head restraints of the front seats.

 New pioneer stereo and speakers

Finally

Finally the mini has been cleaned and polished to high standard and comes with a full service and MOT.
