"Everything is going to be alright". This SLC was believed to belong to Chris Blackwell the founder of Island Records (Bob Marley's and U2's record label) who then went on to create Palm Pictures. The has car lived all its life in London and has only had 2 owners from new although there are 3 registered keepers in the logbook. Island Trading Co of 8 Kensington Park Road and in 2006 Palm Pictures of 8 Kensington Park Road. London. W11 and then me. Did Bob Marley get driven in this car. was it this car that influenced Bob Marley to buy an SL? It would be an interesting bit of research for its new owner.
The private Registration HYD 1 is not included in the sale and the car will be sold with registration KCH 178N. The car was UK supplied and supplied LHD due to been in London.
The car has just passed a new MOT and is a lovely car to drive. and with the 4. 5 V8 it pulls and drives really well. The SLC is longer than the SL and is very sleek looking.
The car was reprayed some years ago and has some small bubbling so would benefit from a respray but is also fine and usable as it is. The car is very solid underneath.
the SLC is a rare car and looks fantastic in black. and gets a lot of looks.
the only reason I am selling is to buy a new house as my plans were to keep the car long term. I have priced it very keenly to sell.
