Exterior:  The exterior of the TransAm looks great in that metallic blue with the Firebird decal on the hood.  With its aggressive lines and bold styling this car is a real attention getter.  The front end was restyled in 1979. It also marked the 10th Anniversary of the Trans Am.  Replacing the “Coke bottle” styling was a more “swoopy” body style. with the top of the rear window line going almost straight down to the lip of the trunk lid—a look that was to epitomize F-body styling for the longest period during the Firebird's lifetime.

 

Drivetrain: The car is powered by a matching numbers 400 HP 403 ci V8 and is paired to a manual valve body transmission.  The engine is original and very healthy. and the suspension feels tight.  It is a WS-4 Trans Am with oversize stainless steel valves. 3. 73 gears with new posi. a Lunati camshaft. MSD ignition. a manual shift valve body. polished and ported heads with 9. 5:1 compression. a port matched aluminum intake. a 2200 stall converter. a 7 quart oil pan and Hooker headers with a stainless steel dual exhaust system.  The car starts right up every time with no drama whatsoever. it is a true driver's car.
