Real Shelby continuation 427 cobra. CSX 4371 . All alluminum body . this car is one of one CSX4000 car done as a tribute to CSX3002 the only original factory Shelby 427 comp car. CSX 3002 was unique featuring 427 coil spring chassis with wide hipped rear body. 289 nose with 427 flares. forward braced roll bar. 289 dash with glove box. unique oil cooler housing. This car featrures a meticulous period correct build/restoration to show quality/ race ready specs. In addition to the CSX3002 type body this car features the following upgrades and options over a standard CSX 4000 car: Leather seats. dash. rear bulkhead covers and door hinge caps. Wilton wool carpet. Smiths guages. rear sway bar. All english electrics including wire harness and loom . all Lucas switches. relays. fuse box. horns. steele lucas headlight buckets etc. Complete as original Girling brake rotors. calipers. and master cyllinders. Original style machined aluminum front and rear sway bar mounts and rear sway bar. Original english weather stripping . Original english steering u-joints. original 16 inch moto lita wood rimmed steering wheel. Original tonnau snaps. Original drivers side fresh air cannister and aeroduct ducting. Original square Lucas wiper motor and mounts. Racing wind screen (car includes fitted street windshield). Battery disconnect. All critical hardware is Aircraft grade with all bolts fitted for proper "grip length" with locking nuts etc. All coolant and brake hard lines are stainless steele. Original type Kohler catch tank on firewall. All plumbing is steele reinforced with 37 degree reuseable fittings as original. Engine is 427 FE iron block . delbrock alluminum heads. original Ford sidewinder intake. Holley classic 800 cfm carb. original fuel log. edelbrock alloy water pump. Engine is balanced and blue printed. Mcleod steele fly wheel. clutch. and hydraulic throw out bearing. Armando racing 12 qt. oil pan. turkey pan. Transmission is big spline rebuilt / race prepped toploader. The restoration/build was performed lovingly by Cobra 101 . a small 2 man shop specializing in Cobra and vintage Can Am racecar restoration. All body work was done in the metal using less than 8 ounces of filler throughout . side pipe openings were hand formed with returns (as original) . Over 2500 man hours logged in the build . This car is unique . one of a kind and could not be duplicated in this quality and level of craftmanship for less than over 220K.
