            Private sale of my 1964 Mercedes Pagoda 230sl left hand drive 2 tops

 I am selling my lovely red 230sl as I have bought myself a 280sl now. It is manual with white interior and was purchased in Los Angeles. It had two previous owners before me and I am the first on the V5 registration document in the UK. The last owner had owned this car for 42 years and lived in California the entire time. prior to me buying it. It comes in its original paint color which was repainted 4 years ago with matching red hard top which is in great condition and can be seen when viewing car.

The car is an excellent example with a solid floor and mechanically sound. The car does not have its original engine which was replaced with M129 250sl engine out of another w113 Pagoda. This can be inspected for yourself. The boot area inside is also rust free and nice and solid. It has the original Becker Mexico cassette radio with center speaker in dash. all fully working. Everything is working as it should be apart from the clock. It is a really straight drive and stops lovely and is a very strong engine with no smoke coming out the back. The chrome work is all in good condition with no flaking rust. The paint is a deep red as you can see in the pictures with only couple of marks. You will see in the picture there is mark on the bonnet where the wind slammed the bonnet down hard one day. Also there is a little chip on the driver's door edge with one very tiny small stone chip on driver's rear wing.

 Most recently it has had new carpet fitted with new seat belts. Last month I had the soft top replaced with new correct Sonnenland which just finishes this car of as you can see in pictures.

 The whole brake system has been bleed and topped up with the rear shoes being relined. I have had new drag link fitted. new side member fitted and some new bushings with all receipts from Mercedes classic center down in Poole Dorset. The car has just had a full engine oil change with new oil and fuel filter. new air filter and plugs also with receipts from Mercedes. The coolant has all been drained and fresh put in with new thermostat fitted at same time supplied from Mercedes again with receipt. I have also put new firewall pad on once again supplied from Mercedes. New set of tires fitted recently all round with new tire on the spare as well in the boot. My car presents very well and drives lovely but is not Concourse but lovely example that can be driven and admired. It just now needs your finishing touch to the car with minor improvements. I have tried and taken the best possible pictures today of the whole car inside and out and you will see what I mean by what lovely clean car it is.

 I have advertised my car at a realistic sensible price to sell. This car is as good as it looks. drives perfect and is what you see in the pictures with no hidden surprises. so no offers will be accepted so please do not ask as you will not find better for the price I am asking. I am so confident the first to see the car in person will buy my car.
