1969 Classic Fiat 500 Lusso
Manufactured in 1969 in the Turin Fiat plant. this classic Fiat 500 has been recently imported from Italy. where it has an extensive restoration over a number of years. Taken care of and enjoyed lightly. this little but sparky vehicle icon has only covered a few KM since its complete restoration.
The restoration & the outside.
With originality always in mind. the previous owner of this 500 tried to maintain all the minimal details such as screws and springs to its 'designed' style and use. This enables the car to maintain that distinct smell of a classic car inside. and a patina feel to the drivers.
Whilst the seats feel very comfortable. they have seen better days. They may be replaced or kept on hold for a long while still. The mark on the passenger's seat can be seen on the pictures.
The shell of the car was taken to bare metal. with all its parts taken apart before doing so. A thorough clean to the engine bay enables this car to have a shiny white gritty new beam. The paint still shows excellent signs of reflectiveness and looks beautiful in the sun!
Metal parts had been replaced during the restoration. extending the longevity of the vehicles. which are known for their short span of rust-free look. Gaps are excellent. all doors. hood and glasses close without any effort.
The small details are those which count in this car. Dashboard. speedo. nbsp;soft top and door cards do not present any crack or weather related imperfections.  They are soft to the finger and look really good. The steering wheel does not present any rust - just a couple of cracks on the plastic side. as per most 500s.
Most of the chrome around the car is still in great conditions. Bumpers are very shiny and would only benefit from waxing with related chrome product. The headlights and door handles are still in a very presentable condition - not trailer queen. however. Small details could be brought to attention to make this car flawless on the outside such as the corner window on the passenger (O/S) of the car. Please note on the pictures.
An addition of a rare screw-on mirror has been installed since the car has been here in the UK and to our judgement. it looks gorgeous and really suits the rest of the chromed parts and colour of the car.
A full set of Borrani style wheels have been installed on this 500. which really make it stand out from the crowd. The small holes around with flawless wheel caps really create a contrast. Matched. some high quality Michelin tyres have been installed and are on 95% of their lifetime.

Mechanical 
The engine block was uncoupled while the restoration took place and the whole block was painted over. New parts have been fitted since it came to the UK allowing a very easy start up and drive. The car - unlike many on the market - can drive for a very long while. stop and fire up again without any hesitation.
Further. an overhaul of the original Weber 26IMB took place as we stopped the car and put it up for sale. The whole 'heart' of this small carb was taken apart replacing all the main components. gaskets and filters.
Brand new parts:
- New distributor cap- New distributor condenser- New fuel lining between fuel pump and carb- New brake cylinder- New fuel pump

The imperfections.
Aside those mentioned on the text while describing the car. we'd like to disclose as much information as possible for the buyers. in order to make a buying decision based on honesty and transparency of the car - which is very rare nowadays.
A small 'crack' near the line of welding has shown up. It's long approximately as much as a 10p coin. Matches that on the 'lock' of the door.
Small paintwork bubbles are on the bonnet. to our judgement caused by the Italian heat.
