Immobilizer alarm. Spare keys. EXTERIORThis M3 convertible is finished in the motorsport Misano red paintwork which looks great and gives the car a beautiful glassy shine. The paintwork itself is in good condition with very few stone chips to be found on the front end. on close inspection there are a couple of minor imperfections however these can be rectified easily. All of the trim including smaller details such as the badges. door handles. and grill along with the window seals are in superb condition retaining their colour. The hood having been recently replaced is in excellent condition as is the plastic rear window. This is a hydraulically operated hood which is effortless to operate however with all classic M3s a little paitence is required to ensure it folds down correctly and stows in the right manner. INTERIORStepping into the LHD M3 the first thing you notice is that you've got in the wrong side! Once seated in the left hand drive position you quickly become familiar with the M-technic steering wheel connecting you to one of the greatest steering cars of all time and if you're on a straight section of road it is the dogleg gearbox that suplements that feeling that you're in something truly special. The BMW black leather sports seats are in good condition with no major cracks or tears. the rear seats being especially tidy and unworn. The grey carpets are clean throughout the car being protected by the original overmats. The dashboard is in great condition with no fading or scratches and all the switch work operates as it should. Pop the boot lid and you will find a clean grey carpet. under which is a spare alloy wheel and tyre. there is also the usual BMW tool kit present. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe M3 has been well maintained over the years with a thorough and regular service history. many being main dealers services. The engine runs well and fires up with the usual 4 pot chatter. The five speed dogleg manual gearbox pulls through the gears with precision and accuracy. maintaining the sporty feel the M3 is famed for. WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKESThe car comes with the standard BMW 16 inch cross-spoke alloy wheels that are in good condition. the only exception being the rear nearside wheel which has a very minor kerb mark. All of the tyres look like they have had very little use with plenty of tread left on them. The car does have a 4th and therefore matching set of tyres however a puncture shortly before its moment of glory in the photostudio meant we had to use a temporary substitute until it is replaced. When driving the brakes still feel very capable. pulling the car up quickly and smoothly. HISTORY FILEThis convertible was first registered in May 1990 and supplied new as a UK car by The BMW dealer the Eastern Motor Co. It had its running-in inspection 3 months later at 1070 miles. The original service book has been stamped 18 times by either BMW main dealers or BMW specialists. the last service was carried out by AC BMW specialists at 87k miles. There are some old MOT certificates along with the original owners handbook and BMW M power manual present in the history file.
