1987 Bombardier VW Iltis Canadian Military Vehicle:  VW TYPE 183
Probably less than 20 in the US!
UPDATE: IF THIS DOESN'T SELL AS IS. I WILL BE TRANSPORTING TO CT TO REGISTER AND LICENSE.  
Originally built in Germany by VW for the German Military. this one was bought Bombardier in Canada for the Canadian Armed Forces.
NO RESERVE.  $4999. 99 Its a Great Price for such a rare vehicle.
It has a 1. 7 Litre four-cylinder Volkswagon engine producing 75 Hp.  4 Speed manual transmission with a G Gear (Ultra low speed/High Torque).  It is a great car to drive and a lot of fun on rough terrain.  Its top speed is listed at 80 KM/HR. It has 59. 00KM ~ 36. 00 Miles!
The Iltis has a soft top and four doors (Plus spare door) all in great shape.  Brand new batteries for its 24V system.  Fuel Pump is strong. CV Joints are all in great shape.  I have recently replaced the oil filter. oil and gas filter but have not run it since purchasing.  The frame has cosmetic rust.  The body has rust in the battery compartment and storage bin as well as fenders.  All body panels and parts are readily accessible and easy to buy.  I have purchased parts from Germany. Canada and Belgium. It is basically a VW/Audi with vw/audi parts and mechanical.
Wheels and tires are in great shape.  
This Iltis was bought by a farmer in Canada who acquired it when the Canadian Military sold them off in 2005.  It sat in dry storage until I bought it this year.  It has been in dry storage since I brought it to the US. It has all the proper Customs. DOT and  EPA importation paperwork but is not currently registered in the US.  
It  is priced significantly below what its worth.  Please ask questions before bidding.  Vehicle is currently located in FREMONT. OH but is going to be moved to Connecticut in the near future.  Non-refundable deposit of $500 USD is due at the close of bidding.  Balance is due via cash or bank check at pickup.
