1956 Goliath GP900E Sedan for sale

I have owned this vehicle for about 8 years and during this time extensive work has been performed including reconditioning and modification of the engine and transaxle. conversion to 12 volt and alternator. fitting of adjustable front suspension and disc brakes. The engine has also been fitted with a Bosch HEI ignition system and a Mikuni 42mm carby. The cylinder head has had the spark plug relocated and the combustion chamber redesigned to aid efficiency and economy. This has resulted in doubling of the front wheel horsepower after over 150 dyno runs and in car AFR tuning. These mods have resulted in a very usable classic vehicle.

The car has been ultra reliable in its trips to Canberra and around Tassie as well as to many car shows.

The interior has been totally redone as has the body and paint. There is no known rust anywhere in the vehicle. It has a custom aluminium radiator and a lightweight hi-torque starter motor.

New tyres and rims have been fitted along with a multitude of new old stock parts including indicators. ear lights etc etc.

I would encourage serious interested buyers to inspect this vehicle.

The vehicle is on club registration which is not transferable and so will be sold unregistered.

This is the ONLY known Goliath 900 on the road in Australia and one of the very few in the world and was featured in Unique Cars August 2009 edition.   A copy of the article is available on the Borgward website.

 A huge number of spare parts. factory books. articles and other original information are available on negotiation with the successful highest bidder or will be auctioned on EBay at a later date.
