Leyland Mini Sunshine 1977 2D Sedan 4 SP Manual 1275cc Twin Carbs

Leyland Mini Clubman S Sunshine - 1977. Only a few in Australia restored to date.
There were only 360 ever made in Australia in 1977. The model 'Sunshine' was a Special Edition  for the Mini.  It was considered a luxury model with a vacuum powered sunroof fitted. as well as tinted windows. leather bound steering wheel. 3 x Sunshine decals. black coloured coach stripes down each side and a centre-mounted roof aerial. Back in 1977 it retailed for $4. 95. 00.  (The vacuum seal for my sunroof is not fitted. but can be easily)
This car is a real head turner and will only increase in value over time. it is a collectors car.
According to Chris ZERIAL. who restored a Mini Sunshine and won car shows for it. states he has only found 3 other Mini Sunshines to have survived since 1977.  (September. 2007 Miniworld. co. uk see attached photo article)   I would suggest that there is only a few more than 3. and guess what.  I have one for sale.  
I have spent over $12. 00 in restoring this little beauty. (many receipts available) Upholstery alone $5000.
I have replaced the original 998cc motor with a fully reconditioned 1275cc with twin carbies and a mild cam. electronic ignition. twin SU carbies. runs on unleaded petrol head. electric fuel pump. chrome rocket cover. radiator bracket and wiper motor.  Had new exhaust installed as well. This motor has only done approximately 300 kilometres since being reconditioned. (Receipt available)
I had disc brakes put on the front and kept the drum brakes on the rear.  I put in a CD player. but still have the original radio.  I replaced the original rims for mini lite mags and new wheels.
I am the second owner of this car. the original owner bought it brand new for her 16th  birthday. This car is in excellent condition and always garaged.  I drive the mini about 6 - 10 times a year.  
This car has been restored beautifully and looks like how a mini in 1977 should look.  This vehicle has been registered every year since I purchased it back in 2001. Current registration expires end of July.
