His name is Croco. Member of the family for last 3 years but now we have to find a new loved people for him.
Chevrolet Express Sherrod conversion day van . 1998. 48. 600 miles on the clock with full service history from new. just got a new MOT . Croco have a nice original blemishless  british racing green paint. nearside rear quoter panel seems to be painted but I did not find any trace of damage. The bottom trims (skirt) was repainted just a month ago with green perl paint and blue effect laquier. looks very nice when change the color on sunshine. Roof was tided earlier so no paint peeling at all. The stickers Sherrod also brand new. Original american side stickers which was all over the van had been removed cos I did not like them from first day of ownership but two lines left on the roof not to get the van to be  a pure green. All paint was polished by buff machine with professional polishes of three stages. Chrome on both bumpers in perfect condition. The van is absolutely rust free. Last month I paid for anticorrosion coating. bottom was cleaned. washed and waxed properly. That's about the exterior. A bit of history: This Express was ordered new as disabeled carrier. father bought the van to carry his son.  Van was equipped with lift and floor rails to secure a wheel chair so no middle row seats from factory. Interior was white velour (cloth). now leather. It was kept in the garage and seems to be never seen rain or water. Service was carrying by one local garage I contact when I got it. they also sold this vehicle for the first owner to the guy who want to drive his family but found to much to do because of lift. no seats etc. He kept it just two month. done 200 miles and put on Ebay where I found it first day and bought 3 hours late cos the van was 30 miles away from my address. Shortly before I sold my Diesel Express 3500 which was good but to heavy and slow. so I learn from first and knew what to do with this one.
First job was exterior job I mention above. Lift. floor rails was cuted off. Carpet was remeved and binned. All wood interior was removed and sealed to get rid of squicks which exist in any of conversion vans even brand new. All doors and side walls was filled with insulation wool. All wire looms was also replaced. americans do rubbish unvisiable jobs. New grey carpet was fitted. After a few month of searching two middle capitan chairs came from Astro. they are little be smaller then Express ones but it is allow me to play with a free space. As we got three French bulldogs I deside to sell one chair to get more space for them. The chair is fully swivel and goes forward and back with seat belt fitted. all as it should be. got other belt also. I did not like one leather seat and rest cloth so desision had beem made. new leather. After short time all seats delivered from Europe. expensive BMW leather mixed with perforated inserts. CROCODILE logo on each seat was done by my order. Blinds all round like new. Electric sofa bed works fine. Front seats electrics also fine. Sun protectors for the front windows made by the shop who done the leather job. Croco got American Eagle 18" alloy wheels and 245/55/18 Hankook tires. Wheel alignment done just in case a few month after purchase it. Alloys was fully refurbished by my ex boss. painted and lacquired. New chrome genuine Eagle cups came from USA and stainless steel bolts from Chrisler  was fitted.  Towing huk and new plug there but never towed anything. ball like new.  Don't know if the plug works.
New rear aftermarket lights (original including). Reverse lights placed under the bumper. looks different.
New TV/CD with Panasonic speakers and little amplifier.  Hands made wall with right angle to watch TV from middle seat and rear sofa made by good carpenter . wall painted same wood effect as rest of interior. not cheap job at all.
Sound: New Pioneer single din stereo( original incl. ). JBL powerfull component speekers all round. JBL 2000 amplifier fitted  on seiling and flat subwoofer under the passanger seat. all done professionally by my friend tuning shop in Ukraine. All tuned and made  to listen my favorite band AC/DC and Rolling Stone etc. so imagine the power of sound. crazy. !
Mechanically sound perfect. new plugs last year. new water pump. belt and belt tensioner this March. Leisure battery last year and normal battery also new. Power steering mechanism was repaired by the first owner. don't know what was wrong. Gear box nice and smooth. serviced according to service record( was taken off and oil pump replaced).  Rear transmission seal sweating but yanks mechanic said its normal for all classics. Suspension tigh and has no noise or knocks. shocks dry. seems to be new but no record about it. Suspension greased recently. Aircondition was serviced in March this year. ice cold. heater perfect all positions low and high. When I painted rear brake drums I checked the shoes. still lot of life on them. Front pads a bit low but I got spare set which came from USA with other parts.  Engine smooth and powerfull. 50k is nothing for 5. 7cc beast. No overheating. no noises. good oil pressure. no leaks. We change the coolant when replaced water pump. Engine temperature sensor was replaced in March just day before we start the journey around the EU. its happen Friday and I rang to my Yank mechanic. don't want to name it. I explane the situation. he charge me £180. Online sensor cost a few quid and plug 5 pound. rip me off properly but we start the journey in time. I change the oil in Murch. I have spare oil filter so you don't have to worry just get the oil next time.
M1J hand made stainless steel exhaust system with life warranty. I decide to place exhaust pipe just before rear wheel with huge double tip. I want to cut the catalityc converters but didn't because Croco is the van not hotrod  but anyway. the sound is amazing. not loud but shows power and american burbl. Life warranty!Spare wheel lift was taken off and serviced. I almost get lost the spare wheel on previous van cos the metal cord was rotten. Lucky no one was behind us.  Sorry for long story but Croco worth it. We done 3 trouble free jorney all over the UE and Eastern Europe  for last 3 years and we all really love him but  deside not to go anymore cos of finance circumstanses.  I need to buy brand new S-class Mercedes to carry on my job. I open for the offers  but don't let him go for nothing. I invested lot more then I asking and huge amount of time. so you may have the van which don't need anyting to do or add.
Possible I missed something but don'tt hesistate to email me I'll glad to answer any questions.
Thank you
P. S. Last picture shows beginning of the project. look the date on right coner please.
Crocodile is in perfect condition now. all finished as the rest of pictures show.
