Well here we go again. Thanks to a muppet called 'adrianskids'. /u> who says he's in  Australia and who thought it would be a laugh to bid on the buggy but not actually pay or contact me about it. I have his address and I will be in touch.

This has taken some thinking about but reluctantly i have decided to sell my Buggy.

It's a Manx 2 shell from Rob at east coast manx and the chassis was restored and shortened by Mark at FlatLands Engineering.

The chassis is a 1970 so it's tax exempt and it's classed as a Historic Vehicle on the V5.

It's taken six years to build and was on the road for the first time in June 2011 just in time for our wedding in August.

The final part of the build was done by the well renowned Buggy Guru. John Gurnney. This included making a complete loom and making the Buggy ready for an MOT which it passed with no problems.

All the parts used during the build were new or reconditioned and were only sourced from the likes of Flatlands. VW Heritage and Machine 7.

It's insured with Adrian Flux on a classic car policy that cost £160 this year. This includes breakdown recovery. limited to 5000 miles a year and agreed value of £10. 00.

The engine is 1641cc and runs fine. It had new plugs. rotor arm and dizzy cap fitted only last week.

Like i said earlier this is a propper reluctant sale but we are trying to do our house up and im facing redundancy in September. so it's got to go.

The car is in shrewsbury SY3 and your welcome to come and have a look anytime. but please contact me first on 07817416224 via TEXT as i work silly shifts and could be asleep or driving or both.

Please text me if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Thought I would put a bit more detail on here.

Starting at the front.

The front suspension is adjustable and has no anti-roll bar fitted as you don't really need one on anything this light. The front shocks are standard Beetle units that work well.

The brake discs are drilled and have a Chevy stud pattern.  The brake disc back plates are stainless.  Also the wheels are mounted to the hubs with studs rather than bolts.  The tyres are 195x40/17 Toyos and still have plenty of grippy tread left on them.

A new modified fuel tank was used from Flatlands. this was powder coated black and fitted with a new fuel sender. an adjustable filler neck. nbsp;and Stainless flip up fuel cap.

The head lights are from S. V. C and are stainless. The original ones I had started to corrode on the reflective silver inside the unit. S. V. C replaced them with upgraded reflectors and bulb holders.

The indicators are clear glass Lucas units.

The steering column tube is stainless. again from Flatlands and is fitted using one of there own design mounting brackets that was stripped down and powder coated black.

The switches on the dash are. I think called savage switches. They are brushed aluminium and light up blue when switched on. They power the lights and horn.

It has a grant steering wheel fitted with a bullet horn push.

The seats are by Speedwell and are fitted on subframes so they can be adjusted. wedges have also be fitted to tilt the seats a bit.

The gear lever is a Scat item topped off with a lovely Moon eyes chrome knob.

A rear seat has been made up to match the two front seats. under which there are two stainless boxes. The one holds the battery and the other holds the voltage regulator and coil.

Under the boxes and mounted across the chassis from the tops of the rear shocks there is a rear body support. The two Luke Harnesses are are also secured to this.

All the tin ware on the engine has been powder coated grey. and the gearbox was also painted grey. The rear suspension has been lowered by the age old method of tweaking the spring plates up a notch on the torsion bars.

The rear wheels measure 8x18" and cost me over £400 on there own.

Right. got to go. more later.

Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in my buggy and also to the people who have come to view it.

I think I should mention that the buggy is not a four seater. The rear cover could. if you were brave enough. be used as two rear seats but that's up to you. I have carried folk around shows with them sitting there but I wouldn't do it on the road.

There is no roof. Like there is no windscreen wipers. washers or heater.

I've had interest and bids from as far away as Australia. and im willing to help you with the shipping this end if needed. but please contact me first so I know that your serious. If you have just joined ebay and have one negative feedback please don't bid on the buggy.

I would also like to add that the lucky winner of the auction pays a £200 non-refundable deposit via pay pal within a couple of hours of the auction ending. The remaining balance can then be paid via a bank transfer or cash on collection. The buggy will not leave my address until I have full payment using either of these means.

Whatever the winning bid is will be the amount the winning bidder pays. There will be no haggling when you come to collect.

Please contact me if you would like to view. Im busy all day Saturday but will be available in the early evening and also Sunday morning.

Thanks for looking.
