1980 - Release of Schuler 350 SE. Similar power and torque to latter day 3. 5 EFI. but used the
existing Stromberg carburettors. Land Rover  Ltd commissioned Schuler to produce 25 Range Rovers
with Schuler/FF chain drive transfer case and Chrysler Torqueflite automatic for sale through dealers
to test market acceptance of automatic Range Rover.
This led to it becoming a factory approved option retro-fitted by Schuler Ltd.

Mr Grant requested an automatic gearbox which wasnt avaliable in Range Rovers then. so Duncan Hamilton commissioned Schuler of Ascot to carry out a conversion for him. Toby Silverton carried out a full Shuler conversion which included:- 3. 5HE Engine upgrade. Schuler FF transer box with 3 speed auto gearbox. uprated suspension. anti-skid brakes-(dunlop maxaret system) twin kenlowe fans. airconditioning. oil coolers for engine and gearbox. electric windows and retrimmed interior. wolfrace alloy wheels. It also has a period under bonnet pioneer amplifier with disc changer in boot. full from the manifold Janspeed stainless exhaust and has been ziebarted and fully undersealed from new. Previous regs inc LZ1. SSR1. Car has been in dry storage for a few years -OWNED THIS CAR FOUR YEARS HAVENT GOT THE TIME TO START/FINISH IT. RUN OUT OF MOT  THIS MONTH. LAST MOT WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH.  it drives ok on choke. ut is running sooty.  it has a good engine/gearbox. ith no oil leaks.

the  carbs do  need sorting out.

theres no buy it now. nd it advertised on car and classic site for £15k. f it makes two grand youve got it.
