Here is the baby I've been working on for two years and still haven't finished! We're moving to the city. so we won't have a garage to work on her anymore. but she's almost done. This is a VERY RARE camper - late 50's/early 60's and BUILT LIKE A BRICK. No leaks. but you'll need to replace a couple of cracked window panes. This baby is INSULATED up the wazoo. A handyman lived in it for years after his divorce. and he made it water tight and winter-tight! It's Amish built to begin with. so full of wonderful. heavy wood everywhere. (A very heavy baby. by the way. so you must have a decent pull- wouldn't pull it too far with a 6 cyl. though I pulled it here from four hours away with mine - not good for the transmission. though. and hills were tough. )
As you can see. I've been "glamping" her a bit - putting pretty fabrics over some of the wood walls and added a cute little table in place of the old pull-down one. There is room to sleep three - bunk on top. full-sized mattress that folds into a sofa in the back. If you need more sleepers. you could probably figure out a way to make use of the dining seats and table if you're handy and could remove the legs and install a swivel down thingy. I just thought this was cuter and more functional for a couple or single.
The appliances are all original except the stove hood. which I bought second hand and installed. I know the electricity works. but one outlet wasn't working when I had it plugged in - could be at the outlet and not the wire. don't know. No idea if the appliances work or not - they're there. and they look okay to me. but I never hooked them up to the propane. so heater. stove. etc. don't know.
There was no plumbing or toilet when I bought it. so I purchased a camper toilet and faucet/shower . but you'll have to hook them up. The holes and tubes. etc. should all be there or easy to find if not.
Painted the wooden ceiling white - only one coat so far. Wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to install another ceiling over the wood. which I think is sort of country cool. You can do whatever you like with it. Like I said. unfinished project.
Put black and white tiles on either side and wood floor in the center. just for interest. Haven't finished the floors. and so you'll need to use adhesive and cut a few pieces down to exact size. I've got them arranged as they'll look when they're done.
There are dents here and there outside. cracked plastic panes here and there. You can see from the pictures what needs doing - not that much work left. really. Sold as is. and I'm happy to throw in the remainder of my materials so you can finish her up. I think she'll be a beauty.
If you hate my paint job - you can change it! Wasn't done. and had decided I hated my stripes. so was planning on repainting her solid colors. split in half/two-tone. We have two propane tanks you can have with her - one is already on the front. Tires hold air but will need to be replaced soon. as they're old and dry. Pulled her from four hours with them two years ago with no problems until I got to my driveway. which is very steep and then I jackknifed my car into the overhang and put a little dent there (ugh!). Not a biggie. but so frustrating! Oh - the tail lights are not shown in the photos. as I removed them to paint. I think I still have them around but if not. they're pretty standard circle ones. Lights worked last time I pulled her two years ago. No idea if they still work. as she's been unhooked during renovation and I don't have time to put her all back together to check.
All in all. I think you'll find her a special treasure - Franklin was one of the oldest family operated trailer makers until a tornado wiped out their business about 20 years ago. Now the old ones are very hard to find.
Bill of Sale only - no title exists. and no way to get one since the company no longer exists.  Bid to Win! Good luck!!!
