EXTERIOR

This Austin Mini is pert and smart finished in Almond Green and is truly stunning with a flawless glossy shine.   All the chrome detailing unique to the Super-de-Luxe model has a mirror finish and is immaculate.   The glass. rubbers and lenses are as new.   The engine bay is a delight and has been meticulously detailed.   A splendid show piece.

INTERIOR
Glorious and factory fresh the standard Porcelain Green trim complements the exterior wonderfully and is preserved in every respect. Washable vinyl-coated fabric seats match the door cards and the patterned headlining is tight and clean.    The factory fit carpets are spotless.   The anti-glare safety mirror housing is slightly cracked and the steering wheel Morris badge has some tiny stress fractures.   The large instrument nacelle housing all the warning lights and gauges function perfectly as does the flashing indicator stalk.   The boot floor still has the original vinyl coated felt mat with a later fitted velour over mat.   Two wicker baskets are included under the rear seat cushion.   Simply divine.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

A water cooled. overhead-valve four-cylinder engine mounted transversely has a cubic capacity of 848cc and produces 34bhp.   The engine is whisper quiet and progress is steady mounted to the original and very rare factory fitted automatic gearbox which. along with all the other mechanic components. is in perfect order.   The engine bay has been detailed for bonnet-up showing and creating a ‘wow' factor.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Pressed steel wheels with rare Super-de-Luxe chrome embellishers remain highly polished with minor markings.   Sourced from the Heritage Centre the Dunlop SP Aquajet radial tyres of 145 SR10 size are as new.   Braking to all four wheels is hydraulically operated by a pendant pedal with two leading shoes at the front.  

HISTORY FILE

Supplied by Holland Brothers Ltd in Boston. this wonderful example was built in August 1967 and dispatched for registration in August 1968.   With only three former keepers and 36. 84 miles this vehicle has only ever been enthusiast owned and pampered enjoying many classic car shows and events. Numerous awards are testament to the originality and quality many strive but never achieve.   A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust  Certificate confirm matching numbers for the purist.   One of the best.
