Thank you for looking at our auction for our cracking little Wolseley Hornet. We aquired the car over 2 years ago with the intention of completing a full restoration to her former glory. We have not managed to get the time to complete this however so is for sale as a project with most of the hard work done. We do have to go with the car an original sales brochure declaring the modern features of the wolseley!Please read the description below for more information.  
Exterior:
The Hornet has had new floor plans fitted. inner and outer sills. battery box. A-Panels. front wings. front panel. scuttle panel and more to make a really solid shell before being painted in Red with a white roof. Most parts have been fitted on the exterior excluding some of the chrome trims around the bottom of the windscreen and around the edges of the doors - these come with the car. What's missing is the front passenger side lower grill cover and the rear badges. The paintwork is very good over the car. however there is a small mark on the top of the rear passenger wing which will need painting. The bumpers are in fairly good condition but would benefit from a re-chrome to make them perfect. The wheel trims are complete and in good condition.  
Interior:
The interior is where the majority of the work to finish the car off is. There is a full set of seats which could do with re-covering and the base of the drivers seat as sunk so will need repair. The original centre dash comes with the car with the plastic housing and wooden fascia. but the wood needs work to bring up to scratch. The wood capping for the doors are also with the car but will need work. The rear door cards have been fitted and the front ones come with the car. There is one door pocket missing however. The headlining has been replaced. There is a spare set of door handles and window winders with the car in good condition.  
Mechanical:
When we purchased the car it had already had an engine rebuild ( shows good oil pressure and starts on the button ) in recent years but we found the brakes. clutch and pipework needed attention so we have replaced the following:

As well as this we have re-fitted many of the original parts as can be seen including the grilles. headlights. tail lights. indicators and thoroughly checked anything we haven't replaced. All window rubbers have been replaced after paintwork with new chrome inserts. Most exterior lights are working and it runs and drives. radiator has not been fitted yet as the heater box has not been plumbed in ( comes with the car  ).

Overall:
This is a great opportunity to own a project for the enthusiast to finish off. Much of the hard work has been done and now needs some TLC to finish it off to the standard it deserves. A great rolling restoration of a rare car that is only rising in value. a fantastic investment if nothing else ( and doesn't take up much room )! This is not a 5 minute restoration to finish it off. but with a little time and dedication it won't be too long to get it back on the road! 

As with all old cars and projects we advise people to view the car prior to purchase to enable them to have a good understanding of the work involved and satisfy themselves of the cars condition.
