1943 Kubelwagen for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 528 votes
Sourced from the Bundesmuseum in Dresden in 2004. the car received a full 'nut & bolt' restoration by Detlef Kubens of Solingen In Germany. between 2009 and 2010. after which it was purchased by a UK collector and imported into the UK in October 2010.
The AutoMuseum Volkswagen dating certificate confirms the build date as 17th August 1943. with the car having left the factory on 22nd August to be delivered to a central depot at Heereszeugamt Kassel.
Now fitted with a replacement 1943 engine which has been fully rebuilt using new old stock parts. this is a rare opportunity to own a Kübelwagen restored to a high standard. complete with all the accessories you would expect including: Medical case & jerry can under dashboard;/ external jerry can; jack; oil can; primer can; cranking handle; tool case; battery box; battery warmer; shovel; etc. Many parts of the car clearly show the KdF cog logo as you would expect.
The car was originally restored into the Dunkelgelb finish. but has since had camouflage and stenciling added appropriate to the Panzer Lehr division added (there is no official record included with the car of which division it was originally assigned to). the wartime registration shown is also believed to be the correct WW2 index as these were revealed during restoration.
The original engine compartment VIN plate is supplied with the car's documentation. the engine bay features a reproduction Volkswagenwerk AG version. there is also a reproduction Bosch 'Enstort nach Gruppe III' plate and an ABA 'Ambi-Budd Presswork Berlin-Johnanisthal' builders plate.
Included with the car will be the VW Museum Dating Certificate. a (reproduction) copy of the June 1943 German Type 82 Manual (and the June 1944 American TM E9-803 War Department Technical Manual English translated version). and an original 1940 technical information booklet 'Kurze Anleitung fur den Werkstattmann uber die wesentlichsten Instandsetzungsarbeiten'

Price is £ 42. 95 or best offer. I can assist with shipping worldwide if required.
