For Sale is my 8 month 1970 XW GTHO.   Grecian Gold Black trim.

This GTHO has had an average life including a chrome makeover in the 80's.  

The Bad Points first:

Has had a front end accident which required the LH side radiator support panel to be replaced  - yes the bit with the numbers on it.  

Due to the accident the car then got an outside paint in the wrong shade of Grecian Gold.  

Has some rust starting to show but nothing major – Drivers door corner and some bubbling in RF outer sill.

Has a blank square block engine with Roller Rockers. twin point Mallory and alloy inlet manifold

Chrome brake booster

Has numerous holes in the eng bay due to the 80's i. e air horns. big MSD coil. Cobra car alarm.

Has an aftermarket stereo fitted with equaliser and big speakers.

8 inch 5 slots

NOW  THE GOOD POINTS:

Still retains all of its original panels except LF guard and LH side of Rad Support.

Still has its compliance plate.

Still retains its number on the shock tower.

Original paint still can be found in the door jambs. boot and some areas of the eng bay.

 9 inch diff has never been touched – 3. 5 ratio with 31 spline axles. still has all the markings and paint dabs etc.   Still retains its big tailshaft .   Rear sway bar and mounting points still have paint dabs etc.   Rear springs are correct.

Gearbox is in good condition and original shifter works extremely well.

All the electrics work.

Eng still retains it 4V heads with C9 part numbered guide plates and mechanical cam.   Does come with a D block (40 thou) but cannot find any numbers on the block but date code is correct - could be the original block ??.   Has a new 750 DP HP series holley fitted.

The undercarriage is in great shape and the inner sills are not rusty.

Still retains its original 36 gallon fuel tank with QC stamp still visible.

Interior is the original with some minor splitting in the seats – original steering wheel comes with 5 cent pieces.

Car has been verified by a well-known restorer here in Adelaide.

This car is driven regularly and is a joy to drive.
