This 1925 ALF tractor has been apart for a long time and I have begun to put it back together so it can be restored and saved. ot pictured but will come with the project is a complete set of fenders plus additional bits as I find them . he photos are showing detail as it is going together so you can see the general condition and I hope no surprises. his is a solid truck . he chassis has most of  the major bits  (as you can see) but it is just hung together with enough bolts for photo reasons . the clutch is rebuilt . he radiator is  as new  (the top tank was reproduced and needs finishing . ater pump was completely rebuilt as new  (new shaft  and the packing nuts re machined. it has a incorrect intake manifold installed with a SCHEBLER brass carburator . but the original correct intake manifold is there with an additional carburator (on table) . verything has been taken apart and cleaned some small items are missing but on the whole it is in dam good condition and any tractor is rare . all of the wheels are solid as a rock and just painting them will make them look like new. he trans axel is solid bronze and I would not think it has over a few thousand original miles . s they only went out with a 65 foot ladder extension. this would be a wonderful project as most of the dirty work has been done. to compllete the total restoration . wo blocks need repair (welding and pressure testing) a complete gasket set (supplied by Olson gaskets)and a set of rings (easly made and not expensive)  . his chassis has the very large internal and external brakes . he steering has been gone through and is very good. the mag is in good condition and the distributor is in  great shape with a good cap. . tarter and generator works and ready to go. the trucks comes with a clear title . it has an original top hood but no side pieces I will supply 6 running board braces . he fenders have their mounting brackets . his is a 88 year old American La France fire engine and deserves to be restored back to original or at least made into a driving special . his truck was to good to be broken up and a lot of time. ork and money was spent on it so it could live again. nce they are gone. hey are gone. you can go to Facebook (gary l wales) and you can see what I have done with Alf fire engines considered to far gone to savePHOTO #11 AND #24 ARE  PROJECTS WE ARE CURRENTLY BUILDING USING AMERICAN LaFRANCE CHAIN DRIVE CHASSIS.
