1971 TRIUMPH TR6 FULLY RESTORED

Hi and thanks for looking at my listing.
I have a 1971. fully restored signal red. tax free TR6 for sale. this is not a TR6 for the purists. As you will soon see that this is a TR6 that is fit for the modern day.
First a little bit of background on this car. It was purchased by a wealthy individual who had always loved TR6's. Having found this one he had it fully restored and to his frustration found that he didn't like the way it drove!
So. with a good friend of his. who happened to run and own an Independent BMW Garage and had many decades of building high end BMW's a plan was hatched to upgrade the TR6 with modern BMW running gear.
So now this TR6 has the following upgradesThe engine is a BMW M50 2. 5 24Valve Fuel Injected Straight Six with Variable Valve Timing putting out 192bhp. The M50 is quite a legendary engine in BMW circles as BMW built it as standard with Forged Internals and its renowned for its strength and reliability. The engine is still running with full BMW diagnostics through the BMW Management System and it can be plugged in to have codes read. sensors analysed etc etc. The beauty of this upgrade is that you get a car that starts instantaniously. has modern reliability and far better fuel economy.
GEARBOX. BMW 5 Speed manual gearbox feeding through a custom buil propshaft to the TR Diff
FRONT SUSPENSION. Custom made. Rose Jointed Suspension with Adjustable GAZ Coil Over Shocks/Springs. gives a lovely ride on the car
REAR SUSPENSION. Adjustable GAZ Coil Overs.
STEERING COLUMN. upgraded
EXHAUST SYSTEM. Stainless System. sounds beautiful
DASH DIALS. both the Speedo and Rev Counter are custom made with digital pickups with Chrome Bezels 

In terms of the driving experience you now have a TR6 that drives beautifully and what an engine. loads of power. great cruising ability. complete reliability in heavy traffic. good on fuel and a nice smooth gearbox.
It also handles really well and a nice smooth ride. ie its not harsh and its been built to deal with typically rough British roads.
PRICE: Looking to sell this car for £17495 or thereabouts. Its had way more than that spent on it to bring it up to its current specification
