This is a very original unmolested Jaguar which has been owned by father and son since 1970 until last year when I bought the car.

Prior to that the car had been in the ownership of Ken Baker. keen Jaguar enthusiast & engineer. ho won a great many races in his E type in the Sixties.

Originally a 3. 4 MOD the original power unit was upgraded with a 3. 8 block  retaining the original cylinder head. This 3. 8 engine was rebuilt at 74. 46 miles. The car has now covered 75. 17 miles.

Mechanically the car is sweet. The engine pulls like a train. he gearbox is good & the overdrive works perfectly.

Since I have owned the car the front suspension has been overhauled with many new ball joints. ounts. ushes etc.

The body is very solid & amazingly original. ery little evidence of any welding anywhere. I photographed the floorpans last year when I replaced the carpets.

None of the usual rust bubbling or filler at the door or wing bottoms & no ragged or filled wheelarch edges.

The woodwork is all good. s is the leather.

I have a Jaguar heritage certificate for the car.

The current MOT expires in July but I will  get a fresh one for the new owner. The Historic (free) tax runs until Dec 31st 2013.   

The June 2013 Practical Classics magazine has a 4 page feature on the S Type saying they are "superior to the Jaguar Mk2 in various ways" with "better handling thanks to the fitment of the MkX's independent rear suspension". Their price check valuation for these cars is - Mint £15. 00-£25. 00. Average £7000-£15. 00.

Nice meeting you. Are you also selling abroad to Belgium? I have currently a Spitfire Triumh mkIII from 1968, but looking for an english car with 4 seats to enjoy Sunday trips with friends. Of course I would arrange me coming to the UK to take a look and I would take care of transportation of course (although i still need to see how and what with customs, but I bought my previous car in the Netherlands, and passed customs as well.
