A 1955 red 2 stroke Zundapp Elastic 250 is a rare find! The production was only a year from 1954-1955. a powerful bike for its time. This Zundapp comes with 14464 miles.
The exterior red paint is not original to the bike which shows small chippings throughout the bike. There are two minor dents in the gas tank. Everything can be seen in the pictures. The fenders front and back show no signs of damage and are in good condition. There is some service rust in several areas throughout the bike due to its age. The light and electric wiring has been gutted by previous owner. so there are no working electric wires to the lights along with a missing back lens cover. Also. it is noted that a couple owners back the engine had been rebuilt around circa 2000. The seat cushion shows minor wear. the under toolbox does not include any tools. A new battery was recently installed. The age of the tires can't be determined. however they're old with no signs of cracking.
This Zundapp runs and sounds great with the normal amount of smoke because it is a two stroke. It has a 4 speed transmission and top speed 100 km. The bike has been a collection piece since purchased and has had general maintenance throughout ownership. There is also paperwork from previous owners. copies of Zundapp part manuals. and DMR articles.
