1971 MG Midget MK III

Up for auction is this cool. classic 1971 MG Midget MKIII 1275 CC 4 speed.   38. 00 original miles. Light restoration just completed. This car has NO TITLE. I bought this car in NY state and titles were not required for this year car. A bill of sale will be provided. There is a picture included of the form that will be used. You can get a title online at Motor Recycle or Broadway Title. Please ask any questions before you bid. I encourage you to look at the car if you can before you bid. or have a 3rd Party inspector come look at it. I have the hood set up so it lays on the hinges so it's easier to work on the engine. but I can bolt it on if you want before you take it. It does latch.  The car starts. runs. nbsp;shifts. and stops. Please keep in mind the car is 45 years old. I will describe the car to the best of my abilities. I have owned the car for 2 years. It has always been garage kept. All 4 tires are brand new (yokohama). The rims have been sanded. cleaned and repainted to the stock pattern. All lug nuts are new as are the wheel center decals. The gas tank is new. The paint is fairly new. but needs to be wet sanded 1500 grit and buffed out. There are some scratches that need touch up. There is no rust on frame. nbsp;Trunk pan. floor pans. rockers. wheel wells are clean. New clutch master cylinder. clutch hose. and slave are new. The car has a high performance clutch and exhaust already installed when I got the car. I was told the car was used for road rally's but I have no physical evidence to prove that. The engine bay was cleaned and refreshed. New valve cover gasket and chrome valve cover cap. Oil and filter just changed. New fuel filter installed. New fuel hose from tank to carbs and return line. All new brake hoses.  brake master cylinder. heel cylinders. brake shoes. nbsp;brake calipers and rotors installed. Both positive and negative battery cables are new. Starter solenoid is new. Starter is new. Coil is new. Spark plugs just installed. Upgraded wood inlay steering wheel has been installed. Upgraded shifter knob. New CD player with remote and rear speaker bar have been installed. Sound is good and loud. Carpet is newly installed. Seats are ok. Door panels are good. All glass is good. Windows go up and down easily. The doors shut good. New factory style seat belts installed. Sun visors are new. The dash is cracked right in the center. It can be fixed or a dash pad cover can be purchased on e-bay for $79 delivered. The hood cable is new. Roll bar was already there when I bought it. Has a spare tire. rim was repainted. It has the hold down and original emergency kit that has been repainted. Vinyl top is shot. but frame is good and is included. I removed the roof frame because I didn't like the look. Rear boot is included. It can be removed if you want. Stripes came out ok. decals on doors have some wrinkling. but can be touched up. The numbers are straight and centered though. Headlights. signals. brake lights all need to be gone over. Wipers work. Tachometer does not work. I don't think the fuel gauge works. The car gets an estimated 36 MPG. New vent hose has been installed. Belts are new.
