1958 VW Beetle RHD Patina Bug 1776cc Semaphores Mag Featured

It saddens me to be selling this car as i've had a lot of fun with it but another new (old) project is arriving soon and i don't have garage space for both unfortunately. 1958 RHD early bugs are hard to find!

I've owned it for around 5 years and it's now a super solid very reliable car with a bit of grunt.  Any rust has been removed and new metal put back in place. There are no dodgy repairs at all with this car. All work has been completed to a high standard. At some point the car has had a repaint but looks like this was done quite a while back. Paint is very aged and has a really nice look to it. All body work repairs have had the paint blended in to match (aged). Much of this work was done by Andy at R To RSR (vintage 911 restorers) and Gav @ TQR. Underside of wings and inner wings was gravel guarded and then repainted. Interior is all original and in great shape.  

FEATURES : Original cloth headliner. OG grey rubber floor matting. OG door cards. Now using a patina Berg Shifter and recently aquired Patina 3 Spoke standard steerling wheel (Rare and expensive). OG paint inside. Seats OG and in great shape. 6" narrow front . Inner wings have been notched with a reinforced plate to attach the shocks (no shock towers). OG working Raydyot foglights. Vintage Patina Roofrack. Vintage speed exhaust. Closure gaps good. OG Lemmertz Sprints powder coated in solid satin black with OG steel centre caps. LED rear lights. OG Robri gravel guards front and rear

ENGINE:1776cc Engine built by known engine builder. with top end re-build 3 years ago at FunkenBlitz. Engine has good power and is torquey while still being great around town. Very reliable also. Made with top products for a bullet proof engine:Built with new AS21 case which has been full flowed. including external cooler and filter26 mm oil pump with Berg Cover Plate92 mm Mahle Barrells & Pistons for 1776 cc . cat C35 cam for mild to hot street engine . CB Performance Los Ponchito heads - 40 x 35 vales with dual springs. Bosch 009 with Petonix electronic points 69 mm counter weight 8 dowel with lightened 12lb flywheel. Dellorto 40s carbs . 1:1. 125 Scat Pro rockers. Deep sump . b Unitech Con Rods. Manton Chrome Olly Push Rods cut to length for correct geometery. Compression ratio approximately 1:8. 6.

The gearbox has been built to get the most out of the engine. It was a Bears Motorsports Pro Street spec box with strengthen axles. Running type 3 larger rear drums for extra stopping power.

Tax is free for a car of this age or MOT not required. The car is mechanically sound though . everything works as it should
