MINI MOKE

Selling my Moke. which I have owned for just over year and has 9 months to run on the MOT. It is a great runner. real fun to drive and turns heads whenever I take it out. It is in very good condition. Very few people can tell the difference between the Cub and the Moke. It has done less than 2000 miles in the last 6 years. of which I have done 450 miles in the last year. It runs well and just had a few minor issues for the MOT (Engine mounts and one brake hose). The only advisory was that the rear shock bushes are slightly warn. Other than general checks of Oil. water etc. the only thing that I have to do to the cub over the last year was change the points.  
The AMC Cub is a strong well designed all metal open top fun car. It has a box section chasis onto which are welded the steel panels. The only part which is glass fibre is the bonnet. The chasis provides good protection with the added reassurance of a roll bar. The petrol tank is integrated into the left hand side panels. whilst the right hand side has a storage compartment. There is a secure lockable compartment at the rear which houses the battery and other items such as a jack. The Cub has a CD player and radio with speakers front and rear. together with 3 12v outlets. Seat belts are fitted to both front and rear seats. It drives and handles really well. It has 14" wheels and grips the road well. There is an engine immobiliser hidden under the dashboard for extra security.
 The cub does come with a black soft top (last two pictures) which completely fits over the entire frame and has perspex windows to the side and rear. It is an old top and keeps most of the weather off. but not all. The soft top has a few splits. but I have not used it as I keep the Cub garaged.  
The AMC cub was manufactured by Andersen Motor Company in Liverpool. They started production in 1985 and continued until 1997. I understand that the Andersens' wanted to have something stronger and more reliable than the Mini Moke. and there is a lot of opinion that says they achieved it. They used host minis as the basis for the cub rebuilding the engines as part of the process. I do not have the history of this particular cub. but I was told that it was factory built. not a kit car (which is an option).  
The cub is exempt from tax. and not very expensive to insure as a classic car with low annual mileage. This is a a fun car to own and drive. I am selling as my circumstances have changed and I can no longer make use of the cub.
