1966 D - Jaguar MK II 3.4 saloon - Black for sale
Current customer rating: (262 votes ) based onFinished in Masons Black with Full Red leather Upholstery and Red Wool Carpets.
This stunning example started life. we believe. as a MK2 2. 4 and was the subject of an extensive restoration and upgrade programme in the late eighties having been fitted with a 340 engine and a number of period styling mods. Most recently the car has resided in the possesion of a car collector having seen little road use in the last few years.
Since our purchase the car has just undergone a comprehensive recommissioning program with some £ 5000 being spent on servicing and detailing to bring the car up to the condition you see today.
Bodily the car is in superb condition with good panel fit / gaps and the paintwork is in superb order with a great depth of shine. The Red Leather Interior is in great order retaining a nice suppelness and with a nice patina and beautiful aroma. the carpets are of an excellent quality and are in superb order. The engine bay is well detailed with polished rocker covers and newly powder coated black-work and detailing.
The car has previously been fitted with an upgraded 340 engine with its straight ported head which gives this Jaguar a fair turn of speed. fitted with disc brakes all round. power steering and the desirable overdrive gearbox the car drives very well. is a headturner and is a total joy to drive.
The recorded mileage is not warranted and most likely the mileage since restoration.
The car has a number of period sporting Coombes style modifications which set the car apart. namely the louvered vented bonnet. coombes rear arches. black painted wire wheels. headlight stone guards. continental amber rangemaster lights with period peaks and a new 16" "Coombes look" Mota-Lita Steering Wheel.
