1969 Morris Mini K (Cooper S replica). For sale as is. where is (Canberra). for parts or restoration with pictures forming part of the description.
My terms: this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. no offers. winning bidder must pay and pick up by Sat 24th September. Don't bid if you can't pay and pick up the car by then.

Selling as moving overseas. Overall this car has potential but needs a lot of work and would better suit being parted out or for full restoration for someone brave and rich. Almost everything needs overhauling. Bid accordingly. Started and ran fine when parked ~6 months ago but not currently running.

Engine - 1275cc unit out of a ‘Morris 1100 S' ‘12YDTa' (not a Cooper S engine so don't ask) last rebuilt in 2010 with 266 Cam. Pulled pretty hard recently and had good compression on all cylinders. Hasn't been running for a few months. needs carb rebuild (leaks fuel badly) and tune-up. Gearbox worked okay. LCB extractors with loud RC40 exhaust. Sounded BEAUTIFUL and was hilarious fun when running.

Wheels. Tyres. Brakes – front 7. 5” disc brake conversion. needs overhauling and new slave cylinders all round. Has booster. Rear shoes are off the car so it will roll. Cheviot 10” mags okay condition but need new tyres (gone square) and wheelnuts.

Body – Body panels all pretty straight. Floor is very rust free. I had the drivers floor replaced and the right side sill and kick panel replaced. Needs tidying up as welds are pretty crap. Otherwise floor and boot-floor are really good. Rust spots are in drip rails. under boot-lid hinge panel which need replacing. on the passenger side C pillar. There may be other smaller spots but they seem to be the main ones visible. Chromework is pretty average but has full Cooper bumpers. overriders and badgework.   Has twin tanks. Paint is very average and needs a lot of work touching up in places after rust repair. I could not locate a VIN and was informed by ACT Transport to have one issued via inspection – body number is visible on radiator panel and is YG2S12035. Electrics were all working fine last time it was running. or as fine as a Lucas electrical system can work. New tail-light lenses.

Suspension – needs full overhaul. One of the hydrolastic lines is busted (front passenger corner sagging badly and guard on the tyre so is not driveable) meaning sphere holds no pressure. Suggest repair or changing car to rubber cone suspension.

Interior – needs full retrim. seat foam is knackered and needs new carpets. Headlining intact but moldy. Glass is complete and good. Not sure if gauges were working. Has an old Smiths tacho – can't remember if working.

Again – NO RESERVE AUCTION.  No offers and no time wasters. Genuine interest & questions via messaging me your phone number and I am happy to give you a call to discuss.   Must be out of my garage by Sat 24th Sep.
