Ford Motor Company reinstated the Continental brand with the introduction
of the Mark II Coupe in 1956. Not a Lincoln. these truly were handbuilt cars. Their
$10. 00 price tag was equivalent to a Rolls Royce or two Cadillacs in 1956. Designed to be
the best of the best. they were purchased by the world's most wealthy and well know people.

With only 2. 00 sold in 1956 and about 440 sold in 1957. the Continental brand
was absorbed by Lincoln in 1958. Every Mark II was sold at a loss to Ford. but
the Continental name and design elements have for survived for decades.

The only option offered was air conditioning and this car has that option.

This car was originally sold in California. it remained there for many years. Recently
purchased by a collector in Georgia. this car is offered as a very nice. original. driver
quality car or an excellent car for a complete restoration. The body is accident free
and shows no rust. The chrome is all either new or very nice original condition.
This car is on great condition for the local show car circuit. My hope is a
astute collector purchases it and have it completely restored it as an
example of one of the finest Lincolns ever built.

This car an older repaint in its original Cream White. The paint is very presentable
but there are some chips and cracks that do show on close inspection.
The two tone White and Brown leather interior is original. The front seat has one
replacement panel. but two other large splits. It will likely need recovering. The
backs of the front seat and the rear seat are very nice original condition. Newer carpet
has been installed and the car still has the original headliner.   Original door panels
are nice. need a redye. The original dash and sun visors are in excellent condition.

This car is equipped with the original 368 cubic inch V-8 engine
with four barrel carb and original factory automatic transmission
