I am reluctantly selling my super rare 1956 Splitty. This is an amazing opportunity to own one of the rarest and greatly appreciating classics. It's a 1956. twin cargo door. small rear window. genuine RHD imported from South Africa.
Most of the bits and pieces are there. including engine. ox. axles. brakes etc. The floor appears solid. see photos. but as you will see this is for full restoration. and lots of welding will be required. but it's an excellent base for starting. The area above the engine and cargo floor are very good. as is the area under the seats. the divider between cargo area and seats is also solid and unchopped. Footwell will need renewing. but these panels are very cheap and readily available. Dashboard has not been drilled or messed around with and again is very solid and straight.
I have a lot of spares which I will be including in the sale. including but not limited to gauges. seats. handles. glass. frames. seals etc etc. I haven't got pics of all the spares but there is an awful lot. I'll try to take some more pics.
This vehicle was imported last year from South Africa. I have all the import documents for quick UK registration and all the taxes have been paid. The reason I am selling is because I have just had a back operation so can no longer do the work that is needed.
