Triumph TR6, CP model, 150BHP

   I bought this car in Feb. 2013. ince when it has only covered some 250 miles. The previous owner had the car on the Isle of Wight from 1987. at which time it was showing 29K miles (all MOT certs. from this year are in the file) The large history file supports this and it would seem quite possible that its current mileage of 38717 could be genuine!

  I have fitted new standard height uprated springs with Koni front shocks. together with uprated lever arms at the rear. together with a set of Dunlop Sport tyres. The handling is excellent. further helped by poly bushed anti-roll bars and suspension. I have also converted the fuel system to a Bosch pump and fitted a full set of recon. injectors. I removed the original plenum chamber/filter arrangement to avoid possible unequal intake charge. and fitted triple K&N filters direct to the throttle bodies. Electronic ignition is fitted together with a sports coil. An alloy rocker cover and a spin- on oil filter are also fitted. together with an electric rad. fan.  Interior trim/carpets are good and I have installed a new Burr Elm dash to replace the plain boring plank that Triumph originally fitted.   The paintwork is decent and I did have some areas refreshed professionally. The hood is in good useable condition and there is a hood bag as well as full tonneau which has been cut to fit around the safety roll bar - ( which stiffens the rear shell nicely. incidently) Chassis and bodywork are all sound and the underside is fully undersealed.

   The car drives and handles very well and the engine uses no oil and certainly delivers plenty of punch!  Downsides are the overdrive is not now responding. but the solenoid and electrics are OK. pressure is also good - may just be suffering from lack of use! Also the rear bumper is rust pitted. but I have a better replacement item either to fit or send off to re-chrome.

  I have owned every model of TR. except a 5. over the last 30 years. and have done several total re-builds. nbsp;so am well versed in Triumphs!  As is evident  the car gets insufficient use and needs to belong to someone who can do it justice. Accordingly the price is virtually my cost and well below its potential value. The CP model is the TR6 of choice and I've owned both CP and CR models so I know which one delivers!
