1948 Ford F-1  For Sale

 This southern truck starts. shifts. nbsp;drives and stops like Ford intended. I recently visited an AACA show and wished I had registered this vehicle for judging since the only other F-1 registered was not up to the standards of this truck.   A body off restoration was completed and then the vehicle was stored in an environmentally controlled building for many years.   The frame was cleaned and painted. all rubber mounts. gaskets & seals replaced.  New wiring harness installed. New glass all around & seals installed. The seat was recovered with correct material.   The truck was painted the correct color. Monsoon Maroon. The engine is a 100 HP V8 with a 3 speed floor shift transmission. and 3. 73:1 rear axle ratio. The owner lost interest.   The truck was sold and then brought up to date mechanically.

The vehicle is registered. insured and driven periodically.

Generator rebuilt

Voltage regulator replaced

Starter solenoid replaced

Original style battery installed

Complete ignition tune-up with new parts. and engine timed correctly.

New ignition switch

New Headlamp switch

Clutch pedal shaft components for equalizer bar from frame to transmission replaced

Clutch disc. pressure plate. throw-out bearing & hub spring. pilot bearing. nbsp;clutch release shaft and bushings replaced

Transmission leaks were corrected

Rear axle bearings replaced

Motor mounts replaced

Transmission mount replaced

Complete fuel system from gas cap to intake manifold replaced

All instruments restored. Present Speedometer mileage: 1. 50. 3 miles.

New temperature senders installed

New front exhaust header pipe installed

Front steering pitman arm & drag link ends replaced. nbsp;steering box adjusted.

Spare tire carrier and spare tire installed

Original behind seat tool box installed

Many other items not listed were also completed
