The E31 8 Series was the company`s flagship model produced over a 10-year period (1989-1999) and featuring classic GT lines and the choice of either V8 or V12 engines. It was naturally seen as a successor to the 6 Series Coupe but in reality it was a completely different car. aimed at taking the company up to a higher plane in terms of build quality. package and performance. This was indeed reflected in the price with entry level base-price in 1990 being some $70. 00. Success was marred by the recession of the early 1990`s with a total production of just over 31. 00 units worldwide. Today. interest is gathering pace as good examples are tipped for certain classic status.

Supplied new in September 1995. this pretty example in Boston Green metallic with Black Hide was purchased in 2001 by a locally based garage proprietor and retained by him until just very recently. With full BMW Main Dealer history to that point. the car was subsequently maintained by the owner`s workshop (Riverside Garage) up to the of Summer 2015 (21 stamps in the service book). the last service being undertaken less than 500 miles ago. It comes with full Book-Pack including Handbook. Service Book. lots of old bills and MOT Certificates and a current MOT to July 2017
