This 1963 Sunbeam Alpine is a Series II that was purchased new in Santa Rosa. California and has remained in the Napa Valley area since. Originally Lake Blue. the car was repainted in 1997 by its second owner who acquired the car as part of a property deal with the original owner. The car has 67k miles and has been with the seller for six years. Some minor oil leaks have recently been repaired and the car is in good mechanical order. though the top needs its fabric installed. The car is sold with a clean California title. The car was repainted in British Racing Green by a Napa body shop in 1997 and shows well. though some blemishes in the finish are detailed in the photo gallery below. There is no notable rust or filler in the body. 13 x 4. 5″ Dayton wires have replaced the original steel wheels and hubcaps. which have not been retained. Brakes are discs in front and drums on the rear axle. Unlike many small sports cars. the Alpine has a metal top cover rather than a removable fabric boot. The top cover should be adjusted as the gaps are imperfect. The top bows are still fitted and operate. but the fabric covering is in a box and has not been installed. The previous owner restored the car in the early 2000s. and the interior shows well. with fresh looking upholstery and carpets. The original steering wheel has been replaced by a thick-rimmed item in a period-appropriate style. A tear is present in the upper left-hand corner of the dash. All of the gauges work. though the speedometer can be jumpy at times. The Series II cars feature a 1. 6L inline-four rather than the 1. 5 used in the Series I. This car is fitted with Zenith carburetors on what is thought to be the stock intake manifold. The car starts easily and shifts properly through all gears. The car wears reproduction black plates with the original numbers. Records date back to 1997. This Alpine is a nice driver. and. once the soft top has been fitted. will be a joy in all types of weather.

This car is sold AS IS with NO WARRANTIES. given that it is a collector car.
