Hi. Thanks for looking. what we have here is my much loved Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet. She was delivered to her first owner on the 10th April 1991. so approximately 25 years old.

I will lay down the headlines for you here and then further down go into a lot more detail. Apologies if this advert is a bit long but I tend to ramble. and there is a lot of information.

1991 Porsche 944 Cabriolet in Glacier Blue (light blue). with dark blue leather and leatherette interior. Manual transmission. /span>Current mileage is 87. 00 miles. MOT until 20/05/2017Good Condition for age with a few age related marks and one scratch on rear passenger side wing. also a chip on the windscreen (not an MOT failure)   (see photos)Recent Oil Change with filter (20th May 2016)Previous full Service on 9th May 2015 which included oil and filter. air filter. fuel filter spark plugs. brake fluid and coolant change approx. 2000 miles covered since then. Belts and tensioners changed by Porsche Centre Tonbridge at 76. 58 miles with follow up inspection at 78. 03miles on 28th August 2013. Mechanically sound car with recent expenditure on essential significant items – oil pressure relief valve. oil pressure sender. new alternator. new cam chain tensioner and associated work. See below for a more expansive list. 2 Keys and alarm fobs. Full service book. owner's manual etc in original leather folder. All receipts for work / parts during my ownership and all the way back to 2000Also original spare wheel. tool kit and compressor. Original options were. Air Conditioning. Headlight Washers. Leather Seats. electrically adjustable seats and Radio. This car also has remote central locking. (2 fobs provided)

I bought this car from a friend in 2013 and have enjoyed driving her in the summers ( during winter she is tucked up). But now it is time to move on. currently I am running two cars and want to reduce this to one which will tick all boxes.

 87. 00 miles this will increase a little as I am still driving the car on sunny days.

During my ownership (From April 2013) servicing and other bits and bobs have been carried out as private jobs by a mechanic friend. He served his apprenticeship Porsche and worked for a main Porsche Dealer for 10 years. he now works as a Lamborghini Technician at the local Lamborghini main dealers in my town. I only mention this as the service books shows the date of each service (and what was done)  but does not have a stamp as I did not use a dealer or specialist. I know that this is something that prospective purchasers will look carefully at. so if you need any reassurance. please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss.

 Recent Service History:

2nd May 2013 –  77. 68 - Full Service -  Oil (and Filter). Fuel Filter. Air Filter. Spark Plugs. /span>

22nd February 2014 – 80. 85 - Oil Service -  Oil (and Filter). Air Filter

9th May 2015 – 84. 89 - Full service + Brake Fluid and Coolant  – Oil (and Filter). Fuel Filter. Air Filter. Spark Plugs. Coolant Change. Brake fluid Change. /span>

20th May 2016 – Oil and filter. (also a coolant change as at this time I replaced the radiator temp switch. so drained all of the coolant (and then replaced it))

There is evidence (in the service book)  which brings the service record from delivery to 74. 40miiles in 2007 – My understanding is that the car was put into storage for a period between 2008 and May 2011 when my friend (the mechanic noted above) bought the car and undertook recommissioning it post storage  – I subsequently bought the car from him in April 2013. (frankly it was very easy as at that time the car was already living in my garage. ).

I note that this car was originally supplied to a dealer in Singapore. and was re-patriated along with its original owner in 2000. as the car was originally supplied with a KM Odometer this was changed (by a dealer) when the car arrived in the UK in 2000 to Miles.  This also explains why if you check the car using a car history checking service the registration date is 19/07/2000 as this was the date it was registered in the UK.

A Quick list of some of the work undertaken during my ownership.

New Battery!!  ( July 2016) New Oil Pressure Relief Valve. New Oil pressure sender unitReplacement Coolant hoses. /span>Replacement PAS upper hoseReplacement PAS high pressure hoseReplaced perished amber indicator lenses for clear items (original amber lenses available required)Replaced perished amber side repeater lenses with clear items (original lenses available if required)Refurbished pop up light mechanism. Replaced driver's side window regulator. Replaced passenger side window motor. New Pedal Rubbers. New Fuel Pump and associated fuel hoses. New Clutch Slave Cylinder. New Alternator (I ran out of electricity.   this was kind of inconvenient)New Drivers side scuff plate fitted. Replacement odometer reset gear (a common failure)Replacement boot release switchWheels refurbished 2014. Slight blow in centre section of  Exhaust mended by the addition of a metal sleeve (this was at the time of the last (2015) MOT). Replacement boot carpet. (I have the original which you are welcome to)New battery in 2012. Radiator Temp Switch replacement May 2016Replacement front speakers – a previous owner has attempted to install the 10 speaker upgrade option in the door cards (badly) . which had resulted in them ruining the door cards. and the stereo not working. I found some replacement door cards ( in the correct colour) fitted these and the appropriate new alpine speakers. I still have the original door cards. if the new owner wants them (along with all of the other components removed. )Following a significant failure in 2014 (the well documented cam chain tensioner failure (not fun. ))    A refurbished head. cams  and valves were fitted by PH sports cars (up next to Donnington) . Along with a new timing chain and tensioner. also a replacement Alternator / Air con Belt was fitted at this time. using all of the appropriate new gaskets etc. of course. In 2007 at 74. 40 miles this car had a full bottom end rebuild. I have the receipt for this which totals about £3900. So in the last 15. 00 miles the car has had a bottom end and a top end rebuild.

Some rust on the Drivers side door was taken care of with the incision of new metal in late 2013. at this time a partial respray of the whole car was undertaken. New stone guards were fitted at this time.

Body work: For a 24 year old car she is very good. the body is galvanised and for the most part she has stood up very well. there is slight bubbling in some areas but noting significant. Having had her on a ramp recently (I include a photo. to demonstrate…) the chassis etc is all solid and rust free. I am not going to pretend that she is absolutely mint. a concourse winner. but she is a good honest car of her age. I recommend that you come and have a look and poke about  for yourself.

The seats are in good condition. a couple of very slightly split seams and some wear on the driver's side bolster. I have spoken to a friendly trimmer and he reassures me that it would not take much to get the back in excellent condition. Again this car is 25 years old so there will be some wear.

Also I have the original Tape holder/ centre arm rest. but I replaced with the change tray from a 968 as the hinges had started to go. I have the hinge replacement kit but haven't got around to doing this yet. the original and the kit will be included in the sale.

The convertible hood is in good condition with no rips or tears. the electric raising and lowering mechanism works fine. which apparently can be a problem on these cars (but not this one).

I also have the original tonneau cover which you can see fitted in the photos.

Tyres – Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on all four corners with approximately 7 mm tread on the front and 5 mm tread on the rear. Wheels are in good condition with a couple of scrapes. noting that these are not the original wheels but a set of 17in Boxster wheels which were put on by one of the previous owners.

I have a whole host of bits which I can include with the car if you are interested. just little things like switches. trims and a spare DME relay. but all useful.

That's about it. I think. I am sure I have missed some things but please contact me and I will be happy to talk to you about the car.

Please contact me to come and see the car. however if you want to test drive I must insist on proof of the appropriate insurance prior to this (otherwise I am happy to take you out)

I have recently put the original registration on retention hence the two registrations shown in the photos. The current reg is H638JLD.

I note that this car was for sale last year (by me) however at that time someone decided to copy my description and photos to create a fraudulent listing which resulted in some very odd correspondence indeed with individuals who had arranged to buy my car for a significantly lower price. Both parties were surprised.  I have been in contact with ebay's fraud team and the listing(s) have been removed.

So to be clear. This is my car. I am a real person. I will not ask for you to transfer money into my foreign bank account before viewing the car. You will not have to meet my cousin in a carpark in the dead of night to view the service history. You can come and see it at my house. I am available on the phone if you have any questions.

I have tried to be as comprehensive and straightforward in my advert as possible to avoid any ambiguity. However I am sure you will have questions. which I am happy to answer (about the car…)

Just to add this is a re-list. The car had sold. ( June 2016) but unfortunately the buyers circumstances changed. So they didn't buy it. which was a bit frustrating. But that gives you the opportunity now. so don't let it go.

Thanks for looking.
