FOR SALE: 1995 ROVER MINI COOPER 1.3I WHITE MIGHTY MINI for sale
This newly built Mini Cooper SPI has been restored to the point of most top restorations. With no expense spared. this car has had all wearing parts either replaced or renewed.
The Mini is built to Mighty Mini FIA specification and would be suitable for the Mighty Mini championship. Hill climbing and other forms of racing; it is also still road legal!
The exterior of this mini cooper is in very good order. although I would stress this car was intended for the track so please be aware the paintwork isn't blemish free. The shell is in very good condition with genuine replacement panels and seamless patches used where needed. The bright work and plastics were replaced at point of restoration to include new bumpers front and rear. new arches all round including seam strips. The shell was bare metal stripped and is painted Ford frozen white.
The underside of the car has also been stripped to bare metal. seam sealed and was also sprayed frozen white. This was then under sealed and rubber sealed to protect it from any ingress of water. (Fully documented with photos)
The interior has been prepared to the specification of the mighty mini rule book; A fully brand new safety devices roll cage is fitted including 3mm strengthening floor plates. new Sparco seat and a 6 point harness for racing. There is also an additional seat and harness for any potential road going passenger. A plumbed in Lifeline fire extinguisher is also installed with pull cords. The fuel tank is specially made by Pro Alloy Motorsport and is foam filled with built in collector and check valves. A new Gel battery and cables replaces the original battery in the original battery box.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine is fully rebuilt to the limits of the mighty minis spec. with all engine reworking done by Mike Jennings. The rebuild included re-honing of the block. full engine balancing (pistons. crank. flywheel and pulley). the head has been skimmed to increase compression with new valves. guides. seals. gaskets and a hardened rocker shaft.
New seals and gaskets throughout. piston rings. new oil pump. rings. water pump. electronic ignition. etc. etc.
The gearbox is also rebuilt with a cross pin differential. central oil pick up. hardened lay shaft. uprated AP clutch as well as gaskets. seals and anything else that we deemed needed replacing.
As this race series is very tight on the engine modification a large amount of parts such as the crank and push rods were choses from several different standard engines for the best possible tolerances.
This is run in and ready to race at 500 miles.
WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The car has new brakes and suspension all round. Standard discs on the front with new AP callipers and Green Stuff Pads. new bearings on the front. high temperature brake fluid. standard drums on the rear with new pads. cylinders. back plates. drums and bearings.
Built onto reconditioned sub frames (blasted and powder coated) with new braided hoses and new pipes. This included HILO's front and rear. adjustable bottom arms. poly bushes and radius arm support plates. There is also a break bias valve fitted along the side of the tunle.
FIA Approved: Full Roll cage. Sparco Seats. 6point Race harness. Lifeline plumbed in fire extinguished. Aluminum foam filled fuel cell. Gel battery. polycarbonate front windows. power cut off with external pull. bonnet springs.
Alloy wheels. Heater. Removable bonnet. heated rear screen. 2 speed window wipers. axillary wiring for spot lights. rear fog light. additional brake light.
The history file for this little mini is massive! I have all of the original books for the car from the factory including loads of receipts. MOTs and bill over the last 20 years.
The rebuild is fully documented with photos being taken throughout. receipts for new parts go into the thousands. as you would expect.
The Mini prior to being rebuilt had covered 58. 46 miles and since rebuild and the clock replacement has done just under 500 miles making the cars total millage in the region of 59. 00 miles.
