Post-war Cadillacs were the domestic luxury car of choice and this 1947 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe Convertible national show ready example demonstrates why. Everything on this vehicle is impressive and screams quality.

Curvaceous lines flow from the striking hood ornament around to the fenders. down the doors. back up over the shapely wheel wells and turn in meeting at the convertible top's deck. Crafted with care. these solid metal lines smooth and covered in the most reflective Madeira Maroon Poly paint you will ever see. The grill is full of chrome and fine details and is beautifully polished as is the rest of the chrome and stainless steel trim pieces which plentifully adorn the outside of this classic. The handsome light saddle top elegantly caps this car; while when the top is down below the boot the car leaves others in awe.

Under the hood. the engine compartment is clean and filled with its factory V8 engine which seems to effortlessly move this large vehicle down the open road. Rarely found in vehicles of this era. this car has a factory-installed 4-speed automatic transmission – which is in perfect working order. The steering and suspension are in great working order as are the drum brakes. The power top. seats. and windows all operate via a freshly rebuilt hydraulic pump. This car has no mechanical issues.

The interior is pure 40's luxury. The seats are covered in the supplest burgundy leather we can remember. The matching carpet is in excellent condition. as are the door and side panels. All the chrome and stainless are show quality. with the exception of a couple of pieces that are still too nice to rechrome. All the instrumentation and the clock work properly. The factory radio is not working – restoring it to its original tube state or a full solid state AM/FM/iPod conversion is included in the sale.
