Sliding vinyl sunroof. Moto-lita steering wheel. Spare alloy wheel. Pioneer cd player. Lockable petrol cap. Heated rear windscreen. Ashtray.

EXTERIOR
The small but perfectly formed proportions of the GT6 is finished in old English white paintwork which is in fantastic condition. showing very few stone chips to front wings and bonnet. On close inspection there are some very minor chips to the near-side headlight surround. All the chrome work including the door handles. window surrounds. door mirrors and bonnet catches are in excellent condition with no pitting to the usual areas. both front and rear bumpers remain free from dents or damage. All of the lights on the car remain clear and pristine. free from cracks or moisture. In 2011 the whole underside of the car was pressure washed and sealed with wax treatment by Woodlands body shop.

INTERIOR
Opening the doors to the GT6 you first realise how low the car sits. you are then presented with the black leather seats that are all in excellent condition with no wear or tear to any of the seat bolsters or bases. the rear seats remain in exceptional condition looking almost unused. The wood trim laced throughout the gives the GT6 interior a classic British feel. stretching from the dashboard around the cockpit to the door panels. it is all in fine condition with no blemishes or lacquer damage. All of the electrics. switch-gear and dials housed in the dashboard work as they should. Sitting in the driver's seat you are presented with a handsome. leather bound. 3-spoke Moto-lita steering wheel that fits in perfectly with the cars classic sporty charm. The contrasting cream roof lining remains in excellent. clean undamaged condition.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Leafing through the extensive and vast amount of paperwork in the history file you can instantly tell this car has been consistently maintained throughout its whole life. In the early 90s the 2 litre. 6 cylinder engine was treated to a complete strip down and rebuild. There is plenty of evidence dating back to the 1970s documenting maintenance work and replacement parts. more recently the gearbox was replaced in 2011 by Triumph specialists J Y Classics Ltd. The car starts quickly from cold and idles correctly right up to temperature. The gearbox remains smooth and precise shifting through the gears.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The 13" 4-spoke Revolution alloy wheels remain in their factory finish. they are in excellent condition and really help to set this GT6 apart. The wheels are shod in matching Michelin energy tyres that all have plenty of tread and come with a white-wall surround. almost giving the car a mustang-esque feel. The brakes are in excellent condition having recently been overhauled and equipped with EBC green stuff pads that feel powerful pulling the car up quickly in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
The Triumph GT6 was first registered on the 7th of August 1972 and has since had only 4 previous keepers. The history file that comes with the car is one of the largest we have seen here at 4 star. four folders worth! The first document to be found is the original Triumph service passport. tracking the early maintenance of the car.

It was supplied to and had its pre-delivery inspection by Victor A. Morrall Ltd. it then has 5 further service stamps from Archers (Shirley) Ltd until 1974 at 18. 79 miles. There are two ring binders full of invoices for maintenance work and replacement parts dating back from 1976 right up to the present day. the majority of the more recent work on the car was undertaken by Triumph specialists J Y Classics. including service and trim parts. There is also an additional folder holding many MOT certificates. V11 documents and tax discs. some of which date back to 1975. Also included are pictures during the cars 'body off' restoration.
