1960 ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA SPIDER - FULLY RESTORED

     The Giulietta. and later the Giulia are the cars that took Alfa Romeo from being a relatively small production company to being an economically viable and successful firm. Prior to that. they had produced large and expensive cars. and never in very large numbers. With the Giulietta and later with the Giulia. Alfa Romeo produced significant numbers of these charming and capable cars. Its success was due in part to its unique placement in the market. It was neither a large hugely expensive car. nor was it very small utility car (such as the Fiat 500). Instead. they were affordable enough so that many could buy them. yet permitted a more glamorous and useful approach to motoring that really struck a chord with buyers on both sides of the Atlantic.   With their unique combination of style and utility. nbsp; these vehicles became favorites of Hollywood celebrities such as Sophia Loren.

This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider (Chasis #AR 1495. 09805) is one of the finest.  This award winning Giulietta underwent a recent comprehensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration to like new condition.   While this Alfa comes with its' original documented matching numbers 1300cc engine  (#AR 00102. 14769) during restoration it was fitted with a more powerful period correct 1600cc Alfa engine.    It has also been further upgraded with a 5-speed Alfa transmission. as so often is the case with the 750 series cars.   This no expense spared restoration includes a complete new wiring harness as well as an outstanding new top and windshield.   All the chrome has been refurbished to new.   The vehicle comes with documentation from Alfa Romeo confirming the year and engine number.    Also included with the Alfa is the original matching #'s engine and the original air box.   There is not a blemish or scratch on this vehicle to speak of.    An incredibly appealing car .     I have not seen one nicer.     It is a joy to drive and brings smiles from people wherever you go.     With similar examples going for $95K + this vehicle will make someone very happy.
