Flying Cat Engineering (Classic Jaguar Specialist) are offering for sale this lovely example of a very rare Series 1 Daimler Double Six.
In metallic Aegean Blue with beige leather interior. This car has 68244 miles recorded.
The body is rust free apart from a small blister on the front passenger door.  This hasn't got any worse over the last 18 months.  We have looked after the car for the previous owner so we know it well.
The black vinyl on the roof is in excellent condition
The interior has been reconditioned. and has a lovely patina. The leather is in very good condition. and the cushions and squabs are all very good.  The seats are exceptionally comfortable.
The V12 engine has just been rebuilt by EAB Classic Cars in Essex. and is running beautifully.  The engine bay has also been professionally detailed and is almost a work of art.
The car drives superbly. the ride is sublime and noise minimal for a 40 year old car.  It quite happily sits at 70mph. but if you put your foot down. that rebuilt engine roars into life and gives you an almighty kick in the back.
The chromework is all in good condition.  None of it needs re-plating.
In summary. this car is an almost perfect example of this incredibly rare model.  With all the work done. there is no further investment required.  The MOT runs until September 2013. so the car is ready to be driven away and enjoyed.
