VW micro bus/camper 1972 crossover bay window (original uk bus) 56. 00 miles

the van started life in the UK in February 1972 then went to the Isle of Man in November 1972 until it returned to the UK in 2010. /p>

I bought the van in October 2011 and spent the next 2 months stripping it down. the floor and chassis were like new mainly due to belly pans being fitted from new. in January 2012 he went to a local restorer for 6 months were the following work was carried out:

new lower front panel. new doors both sides. new seat belt mounts both sides (front) new rear arches both sides. new lower rear corners both sides. new battery trays both sides. engine lid door replaced. new rear bumper. nbsp;the pop top was completely removed and sections of the roof replaced. /p>

next the van was completely primed and then painted as seen in pictures (original blue/white) then carefully put back together. /p>

new pop top bellows. new pop top seals. new roof light. new pop top roof lining. new seals all round. new deluxe window seals and trim. new opening 1/4 light front windows. new chrome badges. front door handles. mirrors. new deluxe belt trim. new deluxe grill trim. nbsp;new front headlights. halogen bulbs. nbsp; new front and rear indicator lenses. bulbs. new mad mats full cab set. billet hand brake pull. scat shifter. deluxe 1972 clock fitted into dash. chrome rings fitted around clocks. chrome switches. new sun visors. nbsp;electric wash/wipe fitted behind kick panels. nbsp;original radio still fitted. all seats have been recovered. panels are original condition (very good) original devon interior cooler. cooker. sink. all work and in very good condition. new curtains. new front seat belts. new rear lap belts x2.  the rear has been dynomated and a new oak laminate floor put down. the van has been lowered using new T2D drop spindles and coil over shocks on the front and taken down 1 spline at the rear with new shocks. new steering damper. new heavy duty front anti roll bar. new alloys 4 1/2 x 15 front and 5 1/2 x 15 rear. new tyres all round 165/50x15 front and 185/65x15 rear. the engine is the original 1600. 56. 00 (believed to be correct) fitted with electronic ignition. new leads (flame thrower) new fuel pump. plugs etc. new battery. starts and runs lovely very smooth. gearbox is perfect. nbsp;before during and after pictures of renovation available. original 1972 log book. service book etc. nbsp;receipts and bills for £14. 00. agreed valuation of £18. 00 on insurance. I. only selling to buy a split screen pick up so if you have one maybe do a deal (must be rhd)
