Here we have very rare and desirable Jaguar XJ-6 4. 2 litre short wheelbase manual overdrive. I have owned this car once before. I bought it back as I love the combination of short wheelbase and manual gearbox which makes this Jaguar a real sporting saloon to drive. The short wheelbase car's lines are far prettier and much better proportioned as apposed to the LWB variants with the extended roof line and long rear doors !This car has been in storage for the past couple of years and has seen little use over that time. when I owned this car some 5 years or so ago it had only covered 43. 00 miles. the car now records 45. 00 miles. The car comes with a large history file. handbooks and passport to service book with 15 stamps. Finished in the attractive and period colour of Green Sand with Olive Green leather trim. The paint work throughout is superb and all the chrome is in excellent condition. The interior is a delight with superb original carpets. unmarked leather and near perfect wood veneers. all complimented with a lovely Moto-lita wood rim steering wheel. the original wheel is with the car. Mechanically the car is excellent as you would expect with such low mileage. oil pressure is between 50 to 60 psi and the engine is quiet and smooth. though she would benefit a light tune up. Recently fitted ( 2014 ) is a full stainless steel exhaust system. All the instrumentation works. as do all the electric extras such as the central locking and electric windows. also this big cat has the added benefit of an electric tilt and slide sunroof in perfect working order.  So there you have it a lovely example of a rare Jaguar sporting saloon with low miles. good history and a very rare spec.
