Hello and welcome to my No Reserve auction for a 1983 Porsche 928 S
Let me first take you back to the year 1983. when petrol was £1. 25 a gallon!!We were watching films in the cinema such as Trading Places. Superman 3 and a very young Tom Cruise in Risky Business. One of the other stars of Risky Business was this. the sublime Porsche 928. Seen as THE supercar of the day. it was the coolest thing to give you proper street cred. Unfortunately for most of us. the price tag of the day meant it remained a dream. until now!
Here's a summary of the car.
PowerplantBulletproof Porsche 4. 7L V8 - the sound is amazing!Recent timing belt replacedFuel lines replaced. intake hoses replaces during last service Feb 16Fantastic response from throttle. nbsp;acceleration kicks you back into the leather seats. No leaks at all from engine area - no overheating. Mated to a 4 speed auto transmission. absolutely fantastic gearbox with silky smooth shifting. Brakes are new and very powerful !!  Feels like you've deployed a parachute. car tracks true and straight. no pulling to left or right under braking. Not a single mechanical issue.  
InteriorThe interior of this car is in fair condition and really could be doing with some TLC to bring it back to life. Sun damage has shrunken the rear plastic 1/4 interior panels in the boot and they're out of shape and come away from the sides. Sports electric seats. all positions work perfect - there is wear on seat bolsters etc. Electric windows work greatAll dials/gauges workAir conditioning blows ice cold. so wear a parka!All other electrics work as they should. The only fault is with the sunroof which needs some adjustment or preferably replacement cables. The carpet is not the best and personally I'd replace it if I was keeping the car.
ExteriorCar is original Porsche Guards Red - fair condition for being 33yrs old. Some rust around the tailgate where the spoiler is which has been touched up. Some blemishes/imperfections/touched up pieces as you'd expect for a daily driver- look at the pictures though. the car still looks good!Wheels are from the S4 modelOriginal spare wheel in boot complete with Porsche compressor. Headlights pop up and down (very cool!) and all other lights are good. 2 brand new tyres on rear and front tyres are only months old and have loads of tread left.
With the classic 911's and earlier 912's out of reach for most of us. the value of these older 928's are on the rise and are appreciating quickly. This is a fantastic opportunity for the discerning investor. and a great way to drive a classic which will only ever increase in value if you ever decide to part with it. I'd class this as a daily driver project car.
The car will come with a full years MOT. all UK customs duty and vat paid. NOVA letter and all the correct paperwork ready for someone to be the first owner in UK or Europe.  I will even provide the DVLA documents required to register the car. I will gladly assist wherever I can with shipping. either within the UK or if it's going abroad to Europe. I can arrange for the car to be delivered anywhere in UK or Europe at very reasonable rates. Shipping costs will be 100% responsibility of the buyer and the car will not leave my garage until funds have cleared!
I'm taking a huge gamble with this listing as I haven't put a reserve on the car!!I'm relying on my honest description and the pictures to give you confidence to bid. I've been around eBay for 15 years and I have 100% feedback. which I don't plan to lose!The listing is also private to deter the scammers.  
Please don't ask for a buy it now price because I genuinely don't have one! I'd rather the car found its value so the auction is going to run its course. The final bid buys the car (yikes!)Also. please don't try and haggle with emails after the sale is done. I'll simply cancel everything and relist. If you turn up to collect and try to haggle. I'll walk away and relist. Any AA or RAC inspection is welcome. but MUST BE done before the auction ends.
