Sadley this Wolseley has come back to Craner Classics for us to sell on the gentleman's behalf due to his health and it is still in the same superb condition.

This Wolseley's engine starts first time instantly and has got one of the smoothest gear change I have experienced in a classic car of this age. it changes smoother than some modern classics I have driven today.

The bodywork is excellent and has been professionally re-sprayed with a very nice red leather interior all original and untouched. all wheels have been powder coated to a very high standard. there's been no expense speared with this Wolseley and probably one of the best ones available.

This Wolseley 1660 comes with one of the biggest history files I have ever seen. I have laid just some of the paper work out (please see picture)

This classic drives excellent and is a total pleasure. if you're looking for a classic car for the summer or to add to your collection this is a true must.


Extra Information

OLY 232 E (OLLIE). was supplied new by IDEAL MOTORS-EASTCOTE. on the 31st May 1967 to his first owner. a Music teacher from PINNER-NORTH LONDON. who kept him for 29 years. providing daily transport about the town. rarely venturing further which accounts for his low mileage of just over 30. 00 miles. most of which is documented including~ Original Sales Invoice and Log book; First service sheet with only 5 miles recorded and Original Service Book. completed and stamped by the dealer; Sales and Accessory brochures. with price list. There is also a Delivery Certificate. giving the name of the delivery driver. and his membership number for The Institute of Advanced Motorists. Receipts of all that has been spent since 1980 are with the vehicle including one for new skills and repairs to the front wings. other than this. OLIIE is totally original and drives like a new car.  


The present owner acquired OLLIE in April 1998 and still keeps in touch with the music teacher who is now in her 80s.  


From every aspect the 16/60 is an impressive car. Features of practical value from the base of its styling. The rear window and windscreen are both of the wide. wrap-round type. and all pillars and door tops are slender for maximum visibility. The passenger seats are well within the wheelbase to ensure riding in comfort. The falling bonnet line allows excellent forward vision; at the same time the headlamps are functionally well placed. Substantial bumpers. with over-rides front and rear. are extended around the wings to give added side protection. At the rear the over-riders blend with the rear lamp clusters. in each of which rear lamps. reflectors. flashing direction indicators. and reversing lamps are incorporated.
