VW Golf 1.8 Mk1 Karmann Clipper Cabriolet ( 1991 J Reg ) Solid Black.

VW Golf Mk1 Karmann Clipper Cabrio ( Big Bumper )( Power Hood )( Full Factory Clipper Kit). 1991(J). Black ( VW L041 ). Grey weave interior with no rips or tears in good order.  All dashboard switches work just fine.   Stereo works fine also. 1. 8 Litre 8v EX engine with automatic transmission. 105. 50 miles with Full Service History from New till Present Day. including 2 keys etc. all original books and manuals in VW wallet. All Service History from new in an A4 lever folder (  full catalogued history ).  

One touch power electro hydraulic hood. double skinned with proper heated rear glass screen. Cabrio will also come with its original Tonneau Cover when hood is down. Electric  front windows. Manual rear windows. Drives lovely. fairly nippy and automatic gearbox is sharp and changes up / down nicely. and a pleasure to own. Wish I had driven a lot more. but other commitments have taken preference. hence why I am selling now.

Inspected by an Approved Motor Engineer for agreed value insurance in December 2015. Current agreed value with Footman James is £6000. 00.

Very solid underneath and totally original condition underneath and never welded . MOT till July 2017. Kept in garage. as did by the previous owners. Orginallly purchased at VW Croydon by Mrs Hume in 1991. Owned over the past 4+ years by me and only covered 900 sunny miles. mostly with hood down. as that is what a convertible is for after all.

Full primer. tie coat. top coats and lacquer coats respray in original colour code ( L041 ). done by a very reputable Bodyshop who does VW Mk1 Golf's and T1 Beetles.

2016 :

MOT Test & Annual Service. including Fuel Filter. Oil Filter. Air Filter. Shell Oil.

Replaced Fuel Pump.

Always serviced annually. despite the small mileage doing with high quality service parts.

Any inspection or test or trial welcome with adequate proof of comprehensive insurance.   Viewings can be done in evenings and / or weekends due to work shift patterns.  Payment is cash on collection only.
