Full ground up restoration in 2011

This car had covered 16. 00 miles when it was laid up in a garage back in 1988. and was dry stored until I purchased it in 2009. It was then completely rebuilt over a 2 year period and since then has always been garaged and has covered just over1000 miles.

Full bare shell restoration. The body shell was stripped back and new floor sections welded in where required. Inner and outer cills were taken back to bare metaland found to be perfect. Professionally resprayed in two pack epoxy. BMC Admiralty Blue. Rebuilt  engine. with reworked head. new pistons. newshells. timing chain etc. Good oil pressure and drives extremely well. Converted from old cartridge filter to new canister type. Replaced original twin carbs with single 1 ¾ SU carb on Howley manifold. delivering more power and much easier to keep in tune. Electrics converted to Negative Earth and fitted with Kenlow electric fanRebuilt gearbox. with all new bearings. first gear. layshaft & syncro rings replaced. The gearbox is now a delight to drive. quiet and with positive selection in all gears. Interior professionally retrimmed in highest quality natural grain leather. Curzon grey seats and door cards. rear panel etc; with black leather piping. door cappings and dash top. Wire wheels stripped back. powder coated. fitted with new Avon 155/80 tyres andbalanced.

In the process of the restoration most items that are replaceable. were replaced. This included a new hood. all new suspension bushes and rubbers. new fuel tank. fuel pump  and all pipework. new brake pads & pipes. new battery. new headlights. new inertia reel seatbelts. new door rubbers and seals. all new engine hoses. new aluminium small dish steering wheel. new carpets etc.

Original steering wheel. seatbelts. anifold and carbs supplied with the car. along with a comprehensive spares package and also a detailed photographic records of the full restoration.

This is a private sale. I have personally restored this car and can vouch for every nut and bolt on it. I am reluctantly selling it as I need to make space for my next restoration project.

Car is available for immediate delivery. and would be supplied with 12 months MOT
