VW BEETLE 1. 2 1983 MEXICAN

REAL EYE CATCHER!


FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOT BE AWARE THE GERMAN FACTORIES FOR THE BEETLE CLOSED THEIR DOORS IN THE LATE 70.

AND THEN THEY MOVED PRODUCTION TO MEXICO!! PARTS ARE STILL EXACTLY THE SAME AS A 1972-78

EMPI ALLOY WHEELS. NEW TYRES. NEW ELECTRONIC IGNITION. NEW PLUGS. old parts were new and I have kept them just in case

new owner prefers points to electronic ignition?  

Paintwork has been done in a Patina style ( Cal Look ) with the wings. Bonnet. & boot lid being done this year!

please don't confuse with the Rat look as the paint is smooth to touch and made to look aged!

Now 34 years old and in good condition for her age. however don't expect a perfect car as there are some blemishes!

Bad Points!

Sometimes can Judder on initial pull off - Doesn't always do this as I am used to driving it. nbsp;but could do with replacement Gearbox mounts that I have new in box. just haven't found the time to fit! I have been advised by classic car restorer garage that this is the problem! Clutch is good as this was replaced previously.

Could do with replacement window rubber seal.

Only advisories on Mot were the following.

Window Wipers not clearing the screen correctly

N Side headlamp dimming when on high beam.

 Both of these issues have been corrected now with the light issue being down to a bad earth.

She is extremely solid underneath never having / needing any welding done.

I may be interested in a Part Exchange / Swap with A HORSE BOX / MOTORCYCLE 600 CC UPWARDS UNLESS CLASSIC BIKE OR CLASSIC CAR? WHY ??
